Can i tell the strain while in veg?

So a friend of a friend of mine came across a 5 ft. Purple Haze plant. It's May here in Ohio and a 5 ft plant is a huge start for this season. The kid doesn't know how to grow at all and wants to sell the plant. What would a purple haze plant that size be worth?
I don't know if the plant is really a purple haze, can I tell while its in veg?
If anyone has any pictures of there purple haze plants that could help me identify it, that would be amazing.
