That's the princible behind water destillation for example.
You would be left with a concentration of elements in your humidifer.
But try foliar feeding. - that is what you are looking for! (same nutes but lower amounts than watering, sprayed preferably on the underside of the leaves)
It's much cooler than this would be anyways.
And don't do it if you are into flowering, it may cause rotting and mold, and if you have strong lights above the plants, because water droplets work as magnifiers on leaves = burn spots (just like how you get sunburn easier when swimming and water is covering your sun shone body)
PS: you know weed can alter your mind but won't do the same with physics.
PSS: just read that the ultrasonic type does actually produce a 'contaminated' mist? :O
I never had one, that's why I guessed it's not possible.
But then again, if foliar feeding won't do it, neither would this.
PSSS: But your's isn't an ultrasonic humidifier...?
