Can I use the soil from previous grows?

well spanishfly, you dont even no who i am. how do you no im a little kid. or how do you no i live with my parents and also what are you to know that i grow with tiny pots with lights. because all of that was wrong. except i do still live with my dad lol

i cant even research something for someone and myself without someone trying to argue. wtf

instead of having ago at me. you could have just given me better advice, that would have been the right thing to do

mlore, I just told you what I do when I reprocess my soil. Not quite sure how you think that could be BETTER. Just told it how it is, my man, what I do. If you want to criticise what I do, call derogatory names, fine. Your choice.

Good luck to you.

thanks for all the input and my apologies for all the bickering this post has caused. I have not started a compost yet but think I will start. I am going to the local grow shop today to get new fox farm soil.

Glad to see that everyone has made up....there are many many ways to reach the same goal, same results and learn while we are doing it. I'm an outdoor grower of lovely little babies and all kinds of fruits, veggies, trees, orchids among other things. The biggest thing I have learned over the past 50+ years is that no one way is the right way. I personally tend to be very nonconventional in my methods, but I remain totally organic in everything that I grow.
People should always be looking for new methods to try, it doesn't mean you have to stop doing what you have been doing all along but try something new to see if it works. There may well be one step or one thing which you find that can be added to your own tried and true methods to make it work.
Now to the question, reuse soil. Absolutely without question. That said all organic growers will have a method to do this, I do not recommend reusing soil without having it remixed with my compostpile for next year's grow. One exception to my own rule is I take the soil from one of the males I cull each grow that is totally healthy and only been in a container a couple of weeks at most to use in my starter pots for seedlings and clones. I have only been doing it this way for the past couple of years (started this because my new soil was shocking the seedlings and clones).
Everyone enjoy their grows and always be ready to learn something new.
