can it be TOO wet for sprouting?

Is it possible to have too wet of conditions for seeds to sprout? I mean I have some in those jiffy pucks and its been a week and nothing yet. Should I stop putting water on them? I've kept them thoroughly drenched and dripping since I started them last week.

Whats the 'dirt' on the amount of moisture for optimal sprouting times.?

they like to be nce and moist but not soaked.. they can drown or rot... u could jus have duds or ur strain jus mite be a bitch to germinate
