Can outdoor plants be finished indoor

I have had an outdoor grow going this season. I just harvested all my blueberry plants and have one northern lights plant (which has flowered much slower) left to harvest. The northern lights plant isn't very far into its flower cycle so i am thinking about bringing it indoor and putting it under my 400 watt HPS to speed it up a bit. I have never transfered an outdoor plant indoors and am looking for some advice on it.

Will this change in light put my plant under to much stress?

Will the intensity of the HPS burn the tips of my leaves on the top cola?

Any info will help

are they in pots? if yes then you can definatley try it, just make sure the bulbs aren't to close to the buds

i wouldnt.... i would leave it where it is and try and wait it out... you might be able to finish on time and it would be better for your plant to stay where it is... you dont want to risk shocking the hell out of it when you move it...

Just did this. Insects are the biggest issue. The climate change certainly kicked my mites into super high gear. Yippee. At least be sure to give it a good spraying off with a hose before you move it in. Get those undersides first where possible.

Go for it bring them in !!! I did !!!

I have a little grow inside that consists of 11 plants and I had 4 outside but they where potted late in the summer so I sprayed them thoroughly with water & dish soap (twice) then brought them in too flower with the rest of the family... No Problems !!!

I have never had a problem with spider mites in any of my previous grows. What do you get for them?
Pyrethrum with or without neems oil. Permithrin (Bonide/"Eight")

You could very well not have a mite issue. I'm only saying I just did this and mites ARE buggin' me . . . and I wish I'd have, at least, sprayed the f outta this plants leaves before I moved it in. Next time I sure will.
I had to take it back outside to spray it off with water, after 8 days of being inside, 'cuz of a mite hatch.
The plant was doing well, but isn't now.

It's fine, keep the light on a similar schedule as outdoor was but it can still be only 12/12. What I mean is don't try to flip it from having light in daytime hours to light at nighttime hours instead.

The 400w is nowhere near what the sun can do so burning is not a concern. You probably will get better growth indoors now though if outdoors is getting too cold or cloudy all the time.

Absolutely spray for bugs before it goes in, and once a week after until the last two weeks, skip those. Spray with some basic neem oil spray.

not trying to jack thread but,, i have two plants that are really close to being done, but certain circumstances are forcing me to harvest in about a week if they stay in the ground in current location.

wondering if i can transplant from the ground to pots, and just move them around outside to avoid harvesting in a week. (been in soil since they germed April 1st)

If you have any other plants indoor, there is a risk that pests will spread from the outdoor plant to the indoor plant. The indoor plant will not be resistint to whatever the outdoor plant might be carrying

hey man your the one who laughed at my avatar lol
I apologize. I like your avatar. Let me ask how you make your plant look like that, so I dont come off as a dick anymore that I already accidentally did. I did not mean to offend you man, I just never saw a plant like that, and I think it looks cool.

Thanks man, i guess i jumped to a couple conclusions myself there hah, my bad
To get her to look like that i put her right into flower from seed, and didnt feed until fan leaves turned yellow, then start regular feeding. You will stop your plant from growing big and then feed once real bud development starts. All the energy goes into the buds instead of into growing big

It is all good, you didnt cut off any branches or anything. So you go to flower soon as it sprouts pretty much then? I am a new grower, sorry if I seem dense...lol.

someone i know brought a flowering plant indoors after vegging for 2months... the plant was in a pot outdoors and showing female preflowers and it was cold at night out there (winter!!) so he moved it into an indoor cab with 250 w HPS
he sprayed the soil first ALL OVER (practically soaked it) with organic pesticide spray,
transplanted it into a bigger pot and better soil, started adding good nutes etc...
he DID switch the lighting schedule from daytime light to the light being on at nighttime, since the cab with the HPS is only on at night...
however the plant seems to be doing great, with maybe a few days to recover from the transferring etc
good luck
