Can Snipping a Bud Off the Top of the Cola 1-2 wks before Harvest Harm the Plant?

I don't think it would really harm the plant but I wouldn't want to snip off the most potent and dense part of the plant. I would take samples from lower buds that don't recieve as much light personally.

Yes, definitely not from the main cola.

People sample buds all the time, especially when they're cloning to know when the best time to harvest is.

If someone would be nipping a bit of bud just to have something to smoke I would agree with taking a bud or part of a bud from a lower portion of the plant. If someone was nipping a bit of bud to test to see if it was time to harvest then I would not suggest taking bud from a lower portion of the plant. It will not be as advanced, as mature/ripe/ready and not be representative of what is above it and not really tell you if the time is right or not.
