can some give me some info on bat guano and seaweed

Hi all im start my new grow of white widows,and im goning to be useing the canna bio program and nuts
which are
Cannazym
Canna bio boost
Canna bio vega
Canna bio Flores Bloom
Iv have grown with this product befor and i like it, but as this is my new grow i wont to lean about add some seaweed and bat guano and worm casting as a tea with my nuts,
when is the best time to add them with my nuts,would it be ok to add them ones a week with the nuts till the end,as im not so sure, i can make the tea up ok, but not sure when i need to add them, so if any one give me some help, then i can work out a program to run a long with the nuts thanks

For Bat Guano, you have to either mix it into the soil or make it into a tea to fertilize manually. We make our teas with stirring and a little heat, just enough that the pot doesn't steam much. It really helps speed up the process. Only steep teas with fertilizers that don't dissolve easily in water. Any ferts that do dissolve quickly can be added to the mix after the tea cools and the solids are filtered out. Be sure to check and adjust the pH of the final solution. Guanos can be either acidic or alkaline, depending on the type.

Seaweeds come in a few different types as well. Maxicrop is our favorite seaweed fertilizer and works well for everything from germinating seeds to foliar feeding. The soluble powder is better than the liquid. It stores longer, is cheaper, lightweight to ship and takes up less space.

The young ones begin needing weak nutrients when they start growing their 3-bladed leaves, but this can be accomplished simply by transplanting into nutritious soil. In most setups, mature plants should be fed every other watering. In mid-late flowering, when the plants are packing on the most bud, extra feedings can be thrown in. Just watch the lowest and oldest leaves for signs of burning. The first single-bladed leaves the plant ever grew, at least, should be burned to a crisp by the end of flowering.

Imo you should replace at least one of your old ferts when you use the Guano & Seaweed, instead of mixing all six ferts together each feeding. I'd suggest creating a mix with the Guano & Seaweed and then adding whatever nutrients the mix is missing using one or two of your original fertilizers. You can switch off between this mix and your previous one. When exactly to add them depends on the nutrient content. High-Potassium fertilizers go in during flowering and high-Nitrogen ferts go in during veg.

your recipe is basically the same as mine. the seaweed is good all the time in small amounts, pot loves K and hormones. the bat guano is for keeping the Phos up in early and mid flower. But I am using 0-10-0 from humboldt nutes (rock based) instead right now.

Mix a handful of castings into each of your pots, and use it for teas. Just top dress the guano... way easy.

uhhh.... I think you need help with your "nutes", hopefully not your "nuts"

lol me nuts are ok, but thanks for that, i dress the soil with bat G,and make the tea out of seaweed and bat G and put it with me nutes not me nuts lol and a REP for the good info

I take a few routes of attack with these.
Flowering
-----------------------
Top dress for switch
mix togther first then top dress pots
1 cups EWC
1 tbl Mexican Guano (N)
1 tbl Indonesian Guano (P)
1 tbl Kelp Meal
1 tbl Bone Meal
(can use 2 tbl Peruvian.SG instead of the mexican and Indo)



Feedings - 3 waterings a week
#1 - lightweight liquid ferts + carbs + micro + boosters (can use guanos instead of liquid just pre-mix and bubble for a few hours)
#2 - Neptunes harvest (fish/seaweed) + carbs + boosters
#3 H2O + carbs

4 week refresher - Tea (5 gallons h2o)

5 Cups EWC
50ml Carbs
15ml Liquid Karma
20ml Fish/Seaweed Hydroslate
5 tbl Jamacian Bat Guano (use whatever guano is appropriate)
Bubble for 18+ hours (Fungi Profile)


Im still tooling around with what guanos to use when (like when is jamacian perfered over say indo) but otherwise the basic feeding template is about the same.
I do my own organic mix so where I go light someone else may have to go heavy from a less active soil.
I do not feed the plants anything in veg, see my soil thread for details but the only additions I ever make in veg is to toss on 1 tbl of mexican guano on each pot every 4 weeks (usually only do this once) and for mothers monthly I load them up with 1tbl kelp, 1tbl azomite, 1tbl peruvian Seabird Guano and 1tbl bone meal to keep them going strong.

Nice thread, only issue I have is different vendors have different NPK's on things like guanos and whatnots so I think it should be broken down as such, otherwise good info.

And seeking, you can check out my soil mix thread or even just go with the (subcool) super soil but either way you'll get to your no-nute veg zone. Its the way to be!
Ive gone 8 weeks with mine in veg before anything actually looked like it needed anything. At this point Im toying around with ways to get it all the way with no added nitrition but we're still aways away on that.
