i think you will find you are wrong on this, ive seen plent of outdoors non-auto grows in this country that were all extremely successfulI'm in Canada, the same latitude as the UK. Your growing season is too short to grow anything other than autoflowering strains.
If you cannot start plants indoors to transplant later you have to wait till all danger of frost is over and the soil has warmed up so that you plant seeds directly.
