Can cutting buds to see if ready or not hermaphrodite the plant?

i don't think cutting a bud early will cause a hermy.

Doubtful. If you are nearing the end of flowering anyway it would take some time to sprout balls and drop any pollen. You should be good.

If i'm not mistaken, Hermaphrodites are only the results of highly stressed plants. Stresses include inconsistent lighting schedule, and watering schedule, or high fluctuations in temperatures. I've also been told that plants gender is genetic, either male/female, so I would like to have this cleared up separately.

I highly doubt by 'cutting' buds off will make it hermie.

dont cut bud cut bud leaf and look with a scope to see if ready

but you should be fine your way
