Can Somebody Please Tell Me If Trimming Some Fan Leaves Would be a Good Idea Here?

Does removing the future popcorn buds increase new growth at the top? Or does it just make the existing buds at the top chunkier?
this is my personal experience, removing the lower bud sites, when people think they are actually losing precious bud, its really just allowing the upper actual colas at the canopy (where the light is the most intense) to use the energy that they are using on dying lower junk, to produce larger denser colas. so instead of giving you 15 sites (half of which will dry to about the size of you thumb nail) of airy buds you will have 4 nice, thick, heavy, rock hard colas even on my smallest plants (24") have produced dense ass colas. even below the actual cola where usually i would get little airy buds anyway where fat and dense here is a pic of my smallest branch and you can see even below the top cola they are huge.

wow saw lots of people saying dont trim anything lol those are some really bushy girls..i would for sure thin those out if they were mine..you'll get more light to certain bud spots, keep the RH lower, and prevent mildew.

I defoliate the fans from my hempy sog on day 21 and do a second stripping on day 45 of any leaf that is blocking budsites.

I find that this is an excellent canopy management technique that consistently yields me more then lolly popping my clones or doing no trimming.

Im slowly Bonsai'n the leaves that are blocking light every 2-3 days. Its just so easy to carried away, i'm reluctant to go at them too often. Thanks for your POV +Rep

Sounds to me like it's trimming time. They got a little crazy in the last 2 days as i wasn't there to manage the leaves. Thanks .....and of course +rep

no problem man great looking girls to by the way..and just so u know when i thin out my plants i like to get the fan leafs that grow UPWARDS into buds or potential bud sites or when leaves lay on top of one another, u wanna cut those ones so they dont release moisture into one another causing mildew...i remember when i first started pruning and thinning my plants, i was to cautious..they dont really mind it at all..my plants never shown signs of stress from pruning or thinning.

they still look really bushy but its up to u...if ur Humidity is naturally high u might wanna thin it out more..take a picture farther away so we can see the whole plant.

Id remove all the large fans that have their own stem.

That is my criteria for the first stripping.
