Can Somebody Please Tell Me If Trimming Some Fan Leaves Would be a Good Idea Here?

Things are really picking up speed here :eyesmoke:

They are really getting their stink on! :lol:Does anybody know what week is it normal for Kush strains to start changing pistol color?

it all depends on strain but i'd say 4th week or 5th week they will start to change to a light brown
They are just starting to turn golden in the last few days. 31st day of flowering now. I tried squeezing my 250w MH in there for some better coverage but the heat build up started getting too much. Its a shame as they really could have used the extra lumen's

really what does your temp go up to?? im in nor cal and i grow in a 3x3x7 tent..my fresh air comes from keeping the window open lol and i keep my 400w hps 12-14inches away in veg then 10-12inches the first 5 weeks of flower then i lower my light to about 6-8 inches from the top of the canopy and my heat stays below 77 but come this weekend it suppose to get hot so i bet it will get in the 80's

It was an analogue 250w Hps and very outdated. So maybe its better that its retired. Heat was just another reason other than my House mates giving out about the amount of electricity i'm using. Lights were beginning to fluctuate at peak times. Here's hoping i dont miss out that badly on yield.

The first bud in the first picture has a real Christmas tree characteristic to it. It's the first one my eyes always lock onto every time i take a peek.

my bubba's will change around 4-5 weeks like cali said and by 7-8 weeks there will be allot less hairs and just very tric covered calyx's, dense as hell too. i love my kush lol
This is my first time growing something that wasn't a fem'd F1 hybrid and didn't have sex with itself. ThSeeds sure delivered nice stable plants. I think i'm gonna stick to some more kush hybrids next time around :)

There are such a range of phenotypes going on here. I only wish i had more time to keep some clones, and have another run. It seems the most potent plants are not filling out as much as the others, and maturing earlier. Only by about a week or two max. Still waiting for 4/7 plants to change pistols, but they seem to want to keep budding. These girls are gonna be the heaviest too i'd say from the look of it.

Hey guys. Gonna upload some new pics in a couple of hours, as soon as the girls are awake. I'm just wondering though, if some plants haven't changed pistol color. Should i wait until the slowest, and biggest :) ,to change before i flush the reservoir? It's now day 45 and two are only about a week from harvest judging by the pistols. I bought a mini hand microscope on ebay for a penny. Its wicked! So i can see the tricomes change to amber, when the time comes. Just wondering what is the minimum amount of time i should flush these girls for, as there still seems to be a lot of growth going on with the bigger buds.

sweet man looking forward to the pics. i would go off the trics not the pistil color as my WW's will never completely change. once the trics start turning amber start a flush and just flush them untill they are where you want them as far as amber/cloudy goes. i just taper my nutes down for 3 weeks then flush for a week while drowning the root mass in water then harvest.

Welcome back to my Closet of Dank! I was sick for nearly a week, forgot to top up water for two days and the E.C spiked to 6.1. Thankfully i sorted it out on time before things got nasty, even though tip burn is visible on some, but most escaped it. They are drinking about 5-6 liters of fluids a day now, with no signs of slowing, growth-wise. Do you guys recommend stripping all the fan leaves off a plant 24hrs before harvest? Or does that technique have any practical benefit?

Thanks for the advice m8. Am i wrong in having my E.C at 3.2, this late into flowering? They seem to love it. +Rep

Sorry about the test picture, pretty brutal camera work :eyesmoke:

I'm just after starting the flushing process. Dropped nutes to 1.3. Does not having any nutrients, stop the plant from further development ,flower wise? Or will they keep on going? As my last two plants have just changed pistol colors yesterday. Advice appreciated as i have never actually flushed my plants before. Especially 7 all linked into the same root mass. I cant believe how many roots there are in the reservoir since i didn't use net pots, and was too late to drill additional holes in the bottom. "Net Pots" people, not needed! Classic pots do just as well if roots are handled with care
