Ya, I never would have expected them to script Punk like that, the way he started out, but I guess that's what brings the money.....
They made his character into such a punk bitch.
I was real surprised when Cena stepped aside like he did for Ryback, I guess a combination of knowing Ryback wanted to tear Punk a new orifice, and also figuring he couldn't beat Punk himself. (after 3 tries)
