Hey Tim just curious what are the numbers on the chart and where do you wanna stay in the chart for optimum humidity and temps? Thanks

if your plants look Good,, then there really isnt a need to worry much about the chart,, BUT if your plants are "taco-ing" or cupping the leaves, (like how people can curl thier tongues),,,, then its vapor pressure,, and what you want is your temps and humidity to be such that your in the Beige area of the chart,, I find certain strains are more inclined to suffer,, where as many dont,, hope this helps

Yes Tim your advice is much appreciated.but still don't understand the (7.1, 9.4 ) ect.. what are those numbers for how to use the chart? I see the temps and humidity so when I align them up to a certain box with a number in it what is that number and how or what tool do you use?

The chart shows you the temperature along the left axis and the humidity is on the top. The numbers that run between the two axis are the vapor pressure deficit numbers.
For cannabis, there is a sweet spot that varies through the growth cycle of the plant. Look at the plant and compare what we are trying to do with what a body builder does. We are trying to stack weight on while maintaining a beautiful structure.
By adjusting the sweet spot of your room, you can also speed or slow the uptake of nutrients to the plant. Using these little tweaks, you will optimize the environment for your plants to thrive in.
So set your room temp and humidity , and where they cross on the graph is the "vapor pressure",, the number should be kept close to 8.0 or So, sometimes 9.0 thats the sweet spot, and the plant is far happier,,,
if you cant adjust your humidity,, then adjust your temp, if you can adjust both, then set your temp in a happy place, like 75 and then set your humidity to match the prefered vapor pressure
you can check temps and humidity with a meter easily purchased from amazon like this one

humidity is very important especially in flower,, so the chart doesnt go out the door when the lights are off, the plants still need to breath properly and transpire, even though less in darkness, the life of the plant still goes on,,,
humidity level in flower becomes more important to keep things like mold rot and powdery mildew at bay

SURE! Go ahead and run at 65% RH or higher.....You will, inevitably, learn first hand how bad it is to battle powdery mildew!
By far, the vast majority of bottled nutrients are formulated to be used at about 50% RH..
If your not using Co2 at 1K ppm or higher.....Throw the VPD chart OUT, and run at 45-50% Rh. Feed accordingly and grow a healthy, vigorous plant, that produce high yields and quality...
The only time the VPD chart should be followed in growing MJ.....Is when gassing with Co2...
IF you were gassing at 1300 ppm
You would use an environmental controller set to 88 F for temp. and 80% RH.....If you ran at normal temps and RH. The gas would not be effectively used by the plant...
controller would shut off the gas at the 88 F or 80% and exhaust the grow space. It shuts off at a set level and starts the gas again. The heat and RH build back to the set point and it all starts over again...
My RH set point on my Dehuey's is 45% Been doing it for decades....

i am an organic no till soil grower,, i never use bottle nutes,,
i dont use c02
i have not seen powdery mildew on one of my grows now in over 2 years,,

I do mostly WOSS I build myself. Our dial in's for our nutrient levels would not produce the same results in each's differing RH values chosen.
I do know, you know that too....
1 power outage and the resulting PM war. Made me change to the lower RH and re-adjust my mix ratio's.
I pass you a knock on wood and a good luck blessing to not have my experience!
