Can too much phosphorus and potash make nitrogen deficiency worse? Hel

had touch of N and K deficiency and foliarfed with 0-5-4, leaves look 10x worse now. Can someone tell me why and how to remedy? 6 weeks into flowering with at least a month to go. (sativa) 400 watt hps 3 gallon fox farms soil roots organics line PH a bit high but nothing over 7.

im not a pro at this but i do know that during the flowering stage the leave will start to die off to use all of its growth on the flowers.

how strong was the mix? the nutes you sprayed with didnt contain any nitrogen? if not thats your problem, nitrogen def. while it is normal for some older leaves to die i do not believe it to be the case here.

if you new you had N deficiency why did you spray something with no N? you should probably get some micro of some sort with 5-0-1, or whatever cheap high N stuff you can find and foliar feed, and possibly up the N level on your feeding mix... just because youre in flower doesnt mean you should cut all N out...

does anyone know why it would get significantly worse after foliarfeeding it. I would think it was N def but its everywhere i sprayed which happened to be everywhere it looked yellow some leaves even had necrotic areas which is why i gave it P and K. The way it turns yellow is different then with a nitrogen def it seems as u can see in that 4TH picture the inside of the leaves change color first. I want to foliarfeed it some Nitrogen but im just really afraid that it isnt just a normal N def and it will cause more harm than good. I already fed it an npk mixture of roots organics, but i cant see much improvment. WHY WOULD FOLIAR FEEDING SPEED UP WHATEVER IS WRONG WITH MY PLANT?!

it didnt. the n defeciency is getting worse, its got nothing to do with the spraying. It is not normal for them to do it so early and 2 it is way better to give a plant some n to keep the fan leaves nice and healthy and supplying the buds with tons of energy than to let them all die off, dont listen to the people who say not to feed any n in flower. thats a very big myth. you want your leaves around giving energy to the buds as long as possible.

Thank you to the last responses! I finally feel like i got a solid answer, anyway i was afraid of using too much N during flowering. I have a 12 - 6 - 6 age old grow, should i foliar feed with N, add a higher concentration to the fertilizer regimen, or both if it needs it.

I'd try to find something with almost only n at this point if possible and foliar feed them lightly strength wise and make sure your sprayer is on the setting that make the droplets as fine a mist as possible and give them that 12-6-6 veg fert at 50%strength next feeding,. Unfortunetly though you cannot undo the damage already done really, dont chop those leaves as the plant is now draining them of their stored energy and nutrients to give to the newer growth, the plant will decide if they are worth saving or not, it knows whats best for it to do and will do so itself. if they dont come off with a gentle tug leave them be.

is there any chance that the foliar feeding water droplets magnified the light from my hps. the way its yellowing is just odd to me, why is there necrotic spots on alot of the leaves i sprayed?

if you had your hps on then yes, there is a very good chance that happened. for future reference make sure not to mist when youve got them under the lights anymore. Especially hid.
