Can Topping Cause Males???

It seems whenever I top a plant it starts showing its a male within a matter of days. this has happened 4 times so far, and Im wondering if it's because of the topping....

Are you toping it in flowering? if so you are causing to much stress on the plant and causing it to hermi

no, I've topped every plant I've grown.

nope, the plants are like a 9 weeks old. I topped them 3 days ago, come to check on them and bam, itz got balls.

i should also say that they are outdoors if that matters
