how do you guys do your add backs? ive been adding back high ppm nutes to raise my ppm in the system. i started out at 500ppm last week, it dropped to 420 or so, then i added back up to 550. they got down in the 400s again so i added back to 600. (to do this i added back 800ppm nutes, 50 gallons worth). they keep drinking a ton of nutes so im hesitant to add back plain water.

ill change the rez 2 weeks from now, that will be 3 total. its my first run with this systme and strain so next time ill have a better idea where to start.

if you have your desired ppm or ec when you first change out your nutes, and its soaking up the nutes, do you add back plain water ever?

I only add back plain water. I'm unclear why I would want to add back a solution for which I can measure ppms, but have no idea what the proportions of any nutrient in it are. If I think more nutes are needed I add them fresh and in proportions I know are correct.

the problem with 200 gallons of water is you cant really change it every week. i let it go 3 and have to make my adjustments along the way. its kinda sketch but my plants look amazing. im gonna keep doing this untill i see something unusual or they stop growing 2inches a day :-)

I flush and change water only once a grow. I dunno, I've done it both ways and the easy way seems very attractive.

I add them back like you do bud.. and never had an issue either. I do change buckets 2 times in flower cycle.. so the buckets are set back to known states then.

I just add water to my desired line, then check ppm.. higher I let it go and see if it comes down. Lower I add some back to approximate ppm, that easy.
