What's the big thing against PG?
I personally use Kosher PG/USP medical/food grade.
Using it for vaporizing with cannabis, there is no need for worry. If someone wants to worry about PG/USP and the decades of testing since it is used in asthma inhalants, I would worry about it being in a majority of processed foods and beverages in unknown amounts. Most everyone is exposed to it in a variety of ways every day. Don't count on them anytime soon saying PG/USP is bad, at least at the federal level. Giant corporations would lose billions immediately as PG/USP is used in food and beverage processing, as well as in many pharmaceutical products.
This is not to say that it is good for you, but to place all concern on it being used with cannabis is just ridiculous, especially when it comes to vaporizing concentrates.
Just my thoughts and opinions, not looking for a debate.
There is some concern with people like me who have quit tobacco and use an e-cigg all day long. It has been a few years and I can't say that I have had any problems. Feel much better than I did when I was using tobacco.
Vaping e-cannabis is awesome for stealth. PEG400 NF/USP is even more safe. It is accepted to be a safe product globally. Unfortunately, it is somewhat mandatory to add flavoring because the PEG400 does not taste good. I like the NF Organic flavorings from High Desert Vapes. The PEG mixture looks cooler and stays mixed better with alcohol concentrates, but the downside is it is thicker and does not work very well in a lot of vapes. It does work well with the AeroTank Mini.
I have heard a lot of feedback of the differences between BHO and alcohol extracts. I am only familiar with using alcohol extracts.
Don't get me wrong, I love vaping the oil straight too. Whether it is with a mechanical vape and KISS cart or an Eclipse Vape which I have been preferring lately. The Eclipse works better with the ND Sap I have been making.

I enjoy it all when it comes to vaping. It can be expensive while figuring out what works best for you though.
Here is when I first started journaling my vaping experiences. Each unit has its pros and cons.
https://www.z-labs.nl/community/blogs/entry/17-my-experience-with-portable-vaporizers-pen-vaporizers-for-concentrated-cannabis-oil-and-e-cigarette-oil/ I would have kept testing more products as they became available, but I cut my grow in have and no longer have the extra oil to test with anymore. There are so many new products out there now, like these for instance:
I try to keep my heavy e-cigg use as safe as possible. I purchase everything through High Desert Vapes. They order directly from the manufacturers. I use NF Organic flavoring, Vegetable Glycerine Nicotine Mix, and Kosher PG/USP so I know exactly what is in my e-cigg oil. I vape all I want for about $100 per year. Those pre-mixed e-cigg juice options with unknown flavor mixtures in the is what bothers me.
