Can you fail with hydro?

The greatest advantage of hydro (ebb and flow type) in my experience is that if you are properly set up, you can go out of town for a week or more and the automated system will take care of itself.

Thanks guys. I think I'll give coco a try and forget about hydro until I can afford a real system though. Good point with being able to leave town for a week, and that's one advantage I'm out for here.

yes, very easily. first off you need a good lighting system. also an airstone makes a world of difference and i imagine it would be very difficult to grow without one. even in aero. of coarse theres always the possibility of theft or law enforcement if your not legal.

imo, hydro is easier than soil. for best results though your better off getting a chiller. that water temp is very important. you can use ice packs but if you work a regular job and are not at your grow every so many hours, ice packs are a huge hassle for someone like me.

also aero is the cats ass! i do mainly soil though myself.

Quick note on hydro: rockwool is the only way to go. You can move the blocks around for optimum placement at different stages of growth. Can't move your aero plants around. Rockwool holds a lot of water and can go quite a while without watering; good luck surviving a power failure with an aero setup. Ambient water temperature is fine with rockwool, no need for chillers or ice packs.

the only way to survive a power failer is you better have a gennie and your grow will be frostier than any fucken set up i been thier with dirt i been thier with coco i been the with eben flow i been thier with rock wool and been thier with dwc... the only thing is know your nutes your trouble shoots and your deleafing and fimming and toping plants know your plants know the nutes you can and cant fuck with and know that will will be a slave in aroe no mater what.... your patients or your life what do you prefer you life or your plants you will get a fucken big ass yield in aroe and you will get the shops and budtenders respect the red carpet will be yours and if you want that girl behind the couter she will be yours but first you got to know that your plant will always come first and thats the difrence betweeen your coco dirt and fucken rockwool grower they live easyer than aroe grower for shure.. but if you live for exelence you will be a slave.... no dought get a fucken genie GENERATOR if edison or what ever your electical company so if they got to work and shut you down at least you got it under control. but note you better get a foundation before you do aroe, aroe is for the best type of person that will dedicate the growth and vigor of the plant maximum potential and frost.. all the fucken way ill battle anyone any day anywere thats how i feel about aroe

New growers use soil please, it is far easier and more forgiving than hydro.
