nope. the more lumens/light.. the better off you'll be my friend.

also, the more light/lumens you have hitting the plant(s).. the quicker they'll mature.

peace.

No, not possible considering the genetics of plant life in Nature is for the Sun to provide light to the growth cycle.

The more light the better. Now "heat" generated by the light source is a different story. That can be an issue for some setups.

you can light bleach plants.
It will hurt them. If you do have alot of light make sure you have it far away to not cause damage.

From a website called homeharvest.com ( a general growing website)
Light Excess
In general, too much light causes plant stunting. Even with no superficial symptoms, internal damage may occur that produces this. Leaves curl and may appear pale, edged with red. Plants that have been allowed to dry are susceptible to sunburn. Excessive heat and light break down chlorophyll, bleaching leaf tissues. Some plants may suffer leaf discoloration's. Pruning damaged leaves, reducing light and watering properly restore good growth.

Too much light was always superceded by heat issues in the ast, but I think BBWWs right now regarding LED light. I have some fairly powerful LED lamps and dealing with no heat issues, lowered them to about 3 inches above the tops on some small third week plants. While all else was unindicative toward a problem, the leaves did dehydrate and curl and crinkle and got very leathery. Some of the newly emerging leaves were coming out blonde-white. Never saw this before LEDs. Now I have the LED lights up more towards 8-10 inches. Bleaching has stopped. I wonder if it can alter the sex of the plant or screw up potency or growth. Nobody has much on the subject.

Yea thats light bleaching.
A lot of amateurs tend to throw all they got and do more harm then they do good. A little goes a long way when starting out. Once you get a few grows threw you , you start to understand the plants in a different way and be able to make decisions off common sense rather then doing the more is better theory.

I must confess, thats right. I moved the lights back to an 8-10" distance and the discolorization has gone away with all of the plants, and theyre taking off like mofos. :)
