The AeroGarden Hood is detachable from the main AeroGarden Unit.
Unplug the AeroGarden Light hood from the main unit via the Figure 8 plug (Found on the bottom side, back of the hood). Once unplugged, look at the rear of the Hood; you will see an indentation. Use a flat surface like a dime or a screwdriver and push the tab in, thus releasing the hood from the neck/stem.
NOTE: You need to buy a Figure 8 power cord from (example. Radio Shack)

Once removed, you can either (dependant on model as they vary in relation to this step) 1) Drill 4 small holes into the outer casing of the hood and attach thin chains long enough for you to adjust. After which you can suspend the hood from a higher level. 2) Devise a means to suspend the hood without drilling 4 holes in it. (I've tried alot of tape wrapped out on the outer sides then twisting as it got to the top, creating a rope of twisted tape. I then used chains to suspend that hood.)
WARNING: It did fall. Twice! This is why I've since opted for an 120W LED.. Was too worried about the hood falling and starting a fire
