Can you switch a plant from a 600 HPS to a fluorescent

I have 5 22 day old soil plants that I am going to pick a mother out of. Right now I have all 5 plants in my Hydro room under a 600 HPS when I pick the 1 I am going to keep as a mother can I put her back under a fluorescent due to that fact that my hydro room will be 12/12?

no prob. switching from 600w to fluorescent, although plants growth will not be as much.
same as when i take my mothers outside all day in the sun, then bring them back in under
the fluorescent after the sun sets.

thanks, i did not know if mybe when i moved it out from under the HPS to the fluorescent that it would stop growing so could not pull any clones off of.

i think it was in the new rosebud mag that i read somewhere between 4-8 weeks but i guess it also depends on how many clones u take...

well if every 8 weeks thats fine because thats about often I want to harvest.
how many? how big is the mother? i'd love to see some pics.
I need to get some batteries for my camera, I will tommarrow but as of right now I 5 mothers that are 25 days old from seed so they are not ready to pull clones yet anyways. I plan on only keeping the 2 strongest thoe. How old does a plant have to be before I can start pulling clones?

You could probally take around a few clones off each plant now, but I cant say for sure since I dont have a pic to judge for sure or not.

thats what i figured, expect to walk me threw the process when it is time:eyesmoke:
I have never cloned or even done hydro before this time, i am outdoor dirt grower.

It's really really easy bro, You can take a cutting, put it in a cup of water, leave it be in indirect light, indirect sunlight is enough for during the day and indirect lighting from a normal bulb for a while at night, and within a few weeks it will start rooting for you. Well, thats not the best way to do it imo, but i just wanted to illustrate how simple it can be, I'll be happy to discuss more advanced cloning with you when the time comes.
