Can You Take Clones from Flowering Plants?

I have my female plants under light 24 hrs now they are all drying up, what I am doing wrong?
Hi. You need let them rest in the dark around 4 hours. Make sure you let fresh air come in the room too I had that happen on my first try. Almost killed my plants. In a week they will get healthy again.

Bumping this thread again...anyone had luck taking cuts and revegging a plant from late flower? I've got a dogwalker skunk cross that I really dig and it's outside in the ground, almost finished. Would love some insight!477ABF8C-4C10-4CEC-8B84-DBEE48E1D234.jpegCE6F3B99-8EB5-42CC-AB5D-9EFB9812FB4D.jpeg

Those weak ass hail mary bottom larf branches actually struck root....transplanted 1st to root this morning. Saved a pink pistil pheno. Out of humidity dome for pic

Take multiple cuts and hope for the best. It's hit and miss that late into flower. I'd try and take cuts with more than one bud site. Don't try to clone the larger buds but don't take the scrawniest ones either.

Good luck.

Thx for the insight, will try to see if I can get it to do something. Another grower friend said it can't be done but I'm gonna give it a shot anyway, for shits and giggles at the least. The season's been nice to us out here in PNW this year. Extended dry weather's helping to finish these babies...clean on the outside, cream on the insideED0C8DD5-EE66-4B9C-9EA5-EF7632AB28E0.jpegAEF73DC5-2A74-4BF8-A424-746B37513735.jpeg

Of coarse it can be done. Its just harder to do the deeper into flower you are. Mold is going to be the biggest problem. Clones need high humidity but that's an issue with all that bud biomass. It'll also generally take longer to root, so it's definitely harder to do than taking a reg cutting off a vegging mother, but it can be done. Hope it's a pheno worth keeping...

Yes, and some people believe it is actually better than veg cuttings. Purportedly, once the clone roots, it will grow like crazy. Also, if the plant has been getting low N and high P, it will help form roots faster. There is a name for this method but it escapes me at the moment. Megacloning or something, can anybody remember?

Everyone agree ?

Current set of off-season plants under 24-0. I've run 24-0 for well over 10 years. Hundreds of plants if I had to count.
The best clones will come from veg stage plants. Every day further in flower from the flip means less rooting hormone present in the plant and a lower chance it will strike and form root before it fades.

I'll veg this set a few more days up to Jan 1st then go lights off and let them flower. Harvest will be March 15th.

Yes if you try to clone or reveg a flowering plant cut way back on light.
Not ideal but you can clone a buding plant. Take a lower branch if you can, has more hormone in it for rooting.
Currently cloning a bud right now. I tried to s1 907bluegenes from AKBB. Forgot I didn’t have a spare clone going “dope” so I had to clone a bud.
S1 was unsuccessful. My pollen maker made nuts but very very little to no viable pollen.
They grow weird but once you have a branch to clone the next clone will be fine. Or you can trim the bud away after branches form.
