what's wrong with my plants? they seem pretty healthy overall, but some fan leaves have discoloration and are dry. ive been using maxigro nutes (im up to a full tsp in one gal of water). between the three of them they typically go through one gallon during watering and the soil stays moist for a good three or four days. but by looking at them, is there anything i seem to be doing wrong?

thanks in advance! :peace:

Over or under watering does NOT explain what i see in those pics. Those leaves are REALLY green. That tells me that the soil is really rich in N. Too much N will actually result in not enough of something else. Just as important as the amount of nutrients is the proper PROPORTION of nutrients. Now having said that, more info is needed to come up with a solution. age /history/lights/temp/Ph etc.
Look through the pictures on this page > http://www.ganjaguerrilla.net/index.htm & see if you can narrow it down. Good luck!

they are a month and a half old. i just switched to the 12/12 three days ago so as to see what sex they are. they are in a soil mixture of one part perlite, one part vermiculite and three parts peat moss. they've been on maxigro nutrients (up to a full tsp per gal of water) and they get fed about every week and watered every three days or so. i was thinking about feeding them with the maxibloom now and maybe that would balance out any nute deficientcies? tho i just fed them monday and i dont want to over do it. i dont have a soil ph tester, but the water i give them is at a ph of 6. they are under 400w hps and the temp in the room stays around 75 to 80.

i just watered them right now (just water, no nutes) as they were super droopy a moment ago. they seemed to like that and are perking back up.

i really dont want to lose these possible girls (*knock on wood*). so every bit of info is well appreciated!

and btw, itsgrowinglikeaweed, thanks for that site of mj problem pics. my plants look like they have potassium deficiency. this is through the eyes of a newb so im not sure how right i am.

ive heard soil is a bitch to grow in. im hoping after these get sexed i can put clones in a dwc and have better results. :(

That looks like nitrogen burn to me.

Also, THC is somewhat right that they could be a little under watered. Using the combination of Perlite, vermiculite, and peat moss could be drying out your roots really quickly. That and the combination of the terra cotta pots will completely wick the moisture away from the plant, I completely stopped using clay pots for that same reason.

I would give them a good flush and consider watering a little more often. Then in a week or so stick to a schedule of feed, water, water, feed.

thats not a potassium problem thats a nitrogen problem. the dryness is on the leaves is when it gets too much nitrogen lookes like its burned from the lights lol but yeah nitro way to high

I would totally lay off the nutes for a week or maybe 10 days. Straight ph'd water and if anything, some kind of root innoculant. Cal mag is always a great product to have around.
Like itsgrowinglikeaweed said, those leaves are extremely green!!

Straight ph'd water and while your doing that, pick up some cal mag and root innoculant (SPT from BMO on ebay is very good)

i hadn't known about the pots sucking out moisture. good to know!

im going to do as boneman and downonwax say. stick to phd water for a bit and then make a trip to the store for calmag and ebay for SPT (was reading on it, sounds like some great stuff!)

you all are great. i really appreciate all the help +rep for you all
