2 clones, been vedging a month. want to top them now as they are about 16" already.

im going to start flowering in around 9 days because i have some smaller 7" plants that need to vedge with them a little longer.

can someone repost my pics with arrows where exactly to snip, and is it possible to do it now even though flowering is 9 days away.

please post replies, thanks.

i would not top if your going to flower in 9 days. i would just put the smaller planton somthing to raise them to the hight of your big girls. jsut me though.

I always top my plants but i wait till the second week of flowering by doing this you will end up with two colas instead of one follow stem to top and snip that mother this will force more growth in the top.Get some bigger pots for all the plants you will have a much bigger yeiled.Plants look good but there is a little canoeing on some of the leaves this is probebly caused by heat. But if they are the only two leaves leave the lights low you are doing the right thing it is well worth sacrafising a few leaves instead of loseing lumans.

okay, ive just topped, think i fucked it up and cut in the wrong place. i coud have easily topped my smaller plants, as the structure seems to be alot more simple with plants from seed, rather than the structure from the clones.

the branching is way different between the two it would seem to me. Just gonna have to wait and see, but im a bit pissed off with myself that i dont know if ive done it right or not.

is it possible to fuck up topping in a way that would leave me with no main cola'/s atall?

the correct method is to cut a "v" ie, two straight diagonal cuts, into the uppermost groing point. cut into the bottom of the newly shooted leaves, as mentioned this will force hormones to the lower growing points, resulting in a shorter bushier plant. the cut top will restart growing in 3-7 days.
