Try beating the plant with a big round rock. Not till its mashed, but close. That will do it.

Why not works but wondered if you had anything in mind by doing so. I am all for experimentation and play around abit myself.

ethylene gas will cause sex reversal in a male.
Ripe apples and bananas give off free ethylene gas, I've never tried it though. If I was to try it I'd put the plant in a large clear bag with some fruit and some stakes to make a tent around the plant and loosely close the bag over the plant to seal the gases in but still allow air in.
