then there was this beauty, ......... IMG_2446.jpg IMG_2447.jpg

i have been trying for 3 years to "root bind" a plant. i can't. i don't even know what it really means. fuckin' plant is NOT going to strangle itself. is it? :?

i wonder...

you'd think it would eventually flower even under 24/0.

but i guess people prolly do keep moms alive for a couple years... and every clones genetic age dates back to it's mother.

I wonder HOW big a plant could get if it had unlimited 24 hour a day sunlight ?!?!

i suppose it would eventually reach structural constraints due to its genetics... this will entertain me for awhile :D

Been keeping my plants under 24 hours for 2 months
gunna grow em
6 feet tallllll

damn i wish i had a camera

I agree with fdd that the previous posts who said 12/12 from seed doesnt work. I currently have half of my crop as 12/12 from seedling and im expecting to yield at least a half o from each plant. They do not stop growing at a height of 1 inch, whoever told u that doesnt know shit about plants. Each one of mine is at least a foot tall and im expecting a yield of about an o off of each one.

But dont believe me, just search 12/12 from seed and you'll find a grower who gets enormous yields, and he swears by 12/12 from seed

a buddy of mine had a plant that he was growing under light for 24/7 for like 4 months...it's about 3 inches tall and has the stem of a seedling..and no...no buds...

Hey man, you should grow one of those beaut's in a Giant Container..lol.. like the Earth.....perhaps somewhere where it can strangle other things? and eventually get bound

I love how people say things and in reality have never tried it... "1" tall plant", "get skinny and die". I even have to disagree with the person who said flowering freshly rooted clones with give you runts.

Come on people, are you just trying to get your post count up? Seriously, try it and learn from experience and post your findings instead of posting BS. If you are speaking from experience then something went wrong because 12/12 from seed and freshly rooted clones are methods that are being and have been done with success and good results.

Sorry about the rant, but to answer the question... you can veg as long as you want to. Things to consider when growing inside are...

Vertical space and light penetration - most 1000W HPS bulbs can only penetrate 3' which means the lower parts of the plant will be unproductive if at all. Search and read up on vertical lighting if you want to grow big trees inside. Or read up on LST (low stress training) where you tie down, bend etc the branches to get a even light penetration and cut down the vertical growth to horizontal growth.

My rule of thumb is to veg them to around 1'-1.5' and then start to flower because as fdd mentioned, they will triple in size. Sativas tend to stretch even more so keep that in mind.

Find your strain, experiment, find your niche in growing and what works best for you. Good luck.

No Second-hand Offense Taken But Your Last Sentence Was Quite Perfect And To The Point. I Might Use It As A Signature Or Whatever You Call It.
I Smoke Alot But Of Course Like Good Weed So Im A Outside Grower. But I Like To Expirement So I Have A Small Scale Almost Hobby Indoor Grow In My Basement.
