Hey AB Bud Soon, I'd be interested in knowing why you think co-ops couldn't compete with commercial enterprises as LPs. Health Canada views co-operative businesses and private businesses equally. Why couldn't a bunch of growers band together and apply?
Because what they are concerned about is tax revenue. Smaller producers don't offer them as much income. Plain and simple. Does everybody really think that Tweed has better qualifications to produce mmj than any other LP?
Tweed came right out of the gate talking about investors and how deep their pockets are. These smaller LPS probably won't get approved for quite some time in my opinion. They have over 600 applications and which one's did they approve? The ones with money falling out their asses. No little guys.
I'm rooting for these smaller, patient based LPS but it's a rough go for them .
