Yeah I just had them in water with a air stone and I misted them a couple times a day for the first few days.
I’m thinking about trying just in water. But I’m kinda out of cloning sites now. Gonna try my last cutting and let my donor grow bigger.

I had trouble also also after a 20 yr break.too wet I think was my problem. Built a bubble cloner now and it’s so much easier. No dome no ph just heater under a small tote. Clones stay green and no spraying this delays roots.
Try it. Cheap to make.

This round seems to be going okay. Still have them in the dome. It’s been 2 days about. They still look perky. Just giving them a light misting in the morning before work and at night before I go to sleep. Hoping this works. When I use to do clones I would mist so much but also never used a dome. Or well I don’t believe I did. Lol. I don’t really remember.

Spray the inside of the dome,if you spray the clones they wont feel the need to make roots.

Hey all,

Had a small trim party Friday and Saturday, and curing my Skywalker OG now. Into my flower chamber go my Tangie plants, which smell amazing...

Did some cuttings last night, clipped around 30 Tangies, from top inside and lower parts of the plant. Going to see which root first! I use a humidity dome, Rockwool cubes, and dunk the lower half of my cubes in pH adjusted water (5.8ish) every 4-5 days. I beleive my plants usually have an excess of nitrogen, and often take 3 weeks to root. The air is very dry here, so its a fine balance of humidity in the dome and the negative effects of stagnant air... Ive lost as many clones to drying out as Ive lost to damping off... Im not a pro but I use a shotgun strategy and just take extra clippings. For some reason I can organize my whole life scientifically, but i cant root clones in under 3 weeks haha. It makes me feel foolish, but I have no shortage of clone stock...

That I do. The dome was misted this morning and a light spray inside just to keep the humidity up. As long as they don’t wilt over in 3 days I’ll be happy. Means I’m doing something right. If they wanna take their time to root, fine by me. Just don’t want them falling over and going all soggy and crap. Mind you I should let the soil dry a bit so the roots go searching.

My goal is to keep the clones looking healthy and watered for at least a week before I start looking for roots. Just letting them be and removing the dome a few times a day to mist and to get some fresh air in there. Dome always has water droplets on it. Some leafs are hitting the top.

10/4. Most make the mistake of misting too much making the leaves droop from the weight of the water.

Looking a lot better then the other ones lol!
Lol. Fuck you are telling me. Guess the Rubbermaid tote wasn’t the best idea. The small propagation dome and try was a better idea. Checked for roots. No roots. Bottom of soil looked a tad dry so I misted the bottom of the tray to add water for the roots to search for. If these clones have t wilted over yet, I think I’m good. The other batch was wilted I’m 2 days. So hoping for the best. My donor needs to go into flower soon and want more of her. She’s getting way too big. And love her genetics. She grew so easily. With basically no fertilizer. I fertilized the first time a week or two ago.

@Skoal What’s the strain called ? Throw er into flower now then and if those clones die you in the next couple weeks you could always take more before it’s actially flowering

Strain is called candida CD1. It’s by medical marijuana genetics. I have not seen many people grow it. Once you get it started she’s super easy to grow.

Apparently this strain stretches like mad.

Since we are talking clones, I’ll show you my ghetto nursery!

It’s basically a closet, with two humidity domes for fresh cuts and another tote with tray for rooted clones.

The freshest cuts sit on a heat mat, the older ones go to the warm top of the closet.

The rooted clones get a week or two of hanging out before they get moved to my larger veg and flowering area downstairs.

Cheers!

Canadian tire has some nice two speed, 6inch clip on fans for $14.99. Gonna be grabbing one for the veg tent. And get rid of my 12inch taking up space on the floor.
