I graduated in NS...... In MB now though, after many years in BC. been around 0.o
Here are a few pics of my little girls in their new soil.... They are sooo happy to be out of that DWC. I must say though I think I will do ok next time around

I have been looking for a Canadian forum for growers so kudos to you! Incidentally, I have been following some of your posts and have been impressed by your scientific approach (seems like you might have a science background) and then I was pleasantly surprised to find out that you started the Canadian growers thread!
I just have to be picky or it will bug me.....there are more female students in med school in Canada now than there are male....so he or she may say yes or no!

I have found that the quality of the seeds is more dependant on the breeder than the supplier - ie Jordan of the Islands and Greenhouse Seed Co. have stable strains, Mighty Mite Hash not so good, etc....
From what I have read VSB is reasonable to deal with and they have an actual physical store so less likely to rip you off...
The Blue God strain from JOTI? Was it an indoor or outdoor grow?
I have just spent the last week pouring over strain information, deciding what to buy, and I think that I have it narrowed down to Blue Sage from JOTI and Purple Nukush (Nuken x Purple Kush). Unfortunately there is almost no information available on these strains so I guess that I will have to try them out and make grow journals.
Blue God is still very high on my list of strains to grow but the godbud strain pops up in the Purple Nukush strain so I thought that I would try for variety and choose Blue Sage.
Has anyone grown/smoked/heard of either of theses strains?
Growing up in Victoria I had no idea how lucky I was, I took all of the weed for granted....now that I am more rural I miss the variety of good smoke so after a year of spending 10 bux a gram on shitty 'white widow' or other fake biker strains I have polished off my green thumbs and become a DIYer.
Until now I have had good results from gifted or bagseed plus one vial of Texada Timewarp from JOTI that a friend gave me.
I am excited at trying out 'known' strains although it is funny that the ones that I have chosen have few or no smoke/grow reports.

I have just been turned on to Kush but will try a hybrid purple kush x nukin to start because there's no purple kush seeds available from Vancouver Seed Bank.
Have you found anywhere on Vancouver Island to buy seeds directly?
Here is some research that I did on Blue God and other strains. Not sure if it helps. This strain looks excellent - it was in our top 5 of seed strain choices after looking at all of the strains offered by VSB.
Did you get those clones? How did it go?

Hey man, thanks for all the trouble man. I'm not too sure where he got the strain originaly. He's been growing for over 20 years. Not sure how long he had the strain, it's his fave that and Afgani Kush. I haven't gotten them yet, I'll call him around the middle of April or something see if he cloned 'em yet. He lives over 2 hours away and he don't have a phone. He's one of them old school hippy types. He don't have power lines, he has solar panels and windmills for power and got a generator for back up. Dug his own well. He's self sufficent. So I'll have to go see him sometime soon I hope.
Fuckin eh. just wondering though, how does the UN get the data about people 15-64 using pot if they aren't getting arrested or polled? when I was in high school I was bunnin every day. still am. never been caught, never been questioned, so am I part of the 16.8 percent of Canadians the UN said smoked cannabis products in 2004?

hee hee yeah I remember when I was 20 in the Yukon an RCMP officer approached a group of us smoking a joint and asked who it belonged to, I volunteered to take the 'rap' and he was all like, 'I am going to put it down on your permanent record that you smoke marijuana' and I told him good, put down that I smoke 3 joints a day and will continue to do so until the day I die......maybe this permanent record is where they get their data from???

OK guys, I have a bit of a problem...
So I set up my 600W MH/HPS a few days ago. Today the cable company knocks on my door to let me know they need to checkout the line coming into my house because they detected interference in the neighbourhood and isolated it to my property. I say no problem, have at it. I then pause and start to think...so I run into my grow room and shut down the light. The guy knocks on my door 2 minutes later and says. "the problem's disappeared", must have been a loose connection or something...happans all the time.
So I'm thinking my new 600W light is a no go
. The guy was clearly from the cable Co. Truck with hydraulic lift and all, plus he presented me ID.
So now what do I do? The 600W MH light is still off.
Oh I'm in Vancouver CAN, so not like I'm too worried about the authorities...I only have 6 plants...
