OTTAWA - Former prime minister Jean Chretien predicted the Liberals will win a majority government on Monday, as party leaders blitzed key ridings in Ontario and British Columbia hoping to swing last minute votes their way.


“We have never been so united,” Chretien said. “We should say thank you to Mr. Trump.”

He said he proposed to name Trump to the Order of Canada for uniting this country, which drew a round of laughter. He triggered a fresh wave when he then quipped that Trump probably wouldn’t get it because he has a criminal record.

Trump is the only U.S. president ever to be convicted of a felony.

It's been discouraging seeing the CPC gain in the polls as they push more disinformation and false narratives like there's election tampering in favour of the Libs when the only actual case was the advance poll worker removed for pushing people to vote conservative.

I am reassured that the libs are significantly ahead in Ontario and Quebec still as they're the essential provinces to win since there's more seats in them. I'm not personally worried if they win a majority or minority as long as the CPC doesn't get win as their platform is a joke compared to Carneys with 17 pics of Poilievre (4 full page) compared to 1 pic of Carney in the libs. Even more comical as the cons have been calling for an election for years but released their platform last, after the advanced polls had closed and it's half as many pages. That's not even getting into the numbers and their absolute faith is trickle down economics, deregulation and slashing taxes which they claim will magically fix the deficit. Despite the fact Harper pursued the same policies which increased our debt. Compared to Carney's which is based on modern economic theory; it doesn't matter how high spending is as long as the net benefit to the economy is greater. That's why he's credited for handling the market crash so well, targeted spending to keep the middle class working so they have money and keep spending mitigates the harm by stimulating the economy which costs less in the long run then a recession created when people stop spending and the economy slows down.

Thank Jebus the cons lost, wee PP likely loosing his seat to Fanjoy is the icing on the cake as not only did he squander a 25 point lead but his own riding has strongly rejected his politics as he was trailing in the vote all night. I'm very proud that Canadians have rejected the politics of fear and chose rationally. I've been thinking a lot about Jack Layton's and his parting words to the nation:

My friends, love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving, hopeful and optimistic. And we’ll change the world.

Tonight we have done exactly that, well at least the majority of Canadians have except the 40 odd percent who voted conservative that is.

Nope, he's already stated that he's going to stick around as the leader of the opposition to milk that fat pension he's "earned" by doing nothing over 20 odd years. Which is comically ironic considering his false claims about the NDP supporting the libs for their pensions or the misrepresentation of Carney as an "unelected PM" after winning the lib leadership race. Now poor little PP is literally an unelected politician milking a pension and ignoring the voters decision to boot him from politics.

The rest of the party may have a say in that. It sounds like there was already a lot of behind the scenes conflict and now Wee PeePee not only presided over an historic electoral failure, he doesn't even have a seat in parliament. I predict he'll be kicking rocks within a few months.

Definitely makes me wonder what's going to happen with all the talk about a Great Reset, "You will own nothing and be happy." Trump wants Greenland for sure, he also labeled the Mexican Cartels terrorist organizations. We know the Mexican government is full of Cartel backed politicians, so if they give us a reason to invade, we probably will.

Sure Trump pretended to be against the WEF and Great Reset, but I'm not seeing anything good coming from these tariffs, really starting to look like the WEF might be right about the USA no longer being the world superpower by 2030. The tariffs are some bullshit!! He exempted smartphones, Computers and other electronics from the Chinese tariffs, he's not bringing back any high end manufacturing, we're going to be stuck with all the sweat shops. Lol

It's really looking like Trump is actually trying to destroy our economy. Really I'm not even convinced the deep state was ever really against Trump, seemed more like they wanted Kamala to lose, which yeah most of the billionaires backed Trump and not Kamala. Not to mention the firing of supposedly over 250k government workers, they probably were useless and doing nothing, but that's a lot of people without their good paying jobs.

He's bringing the USA down from what I can see and it's been planned for us to fail. I first remember hearing about the North American Union when Obama was in office, but it was actually talked about long before Obama.

Hopefully I'm just stoned and paranoid, but I don't trust anything going on. I really think the media both left and right are trying to divide and conquer and doing an amazing job at it, cause it's definitely got us divided. I really don't think this country has ever been more divided except for the Civil War, maybe Vietnam.

But what can you do? I'm just trying to make sure I have plenty of seeds in case the world goes to shit and we no longer own anything, like the World Economic Forum wants. Probably be a nice Universal Basic Income I'd probably be happy with that, smoke weed and go fishing, no more work. Lol

I don't think they have much choice considering Carney can wait 180 days before calling a by-election which can ran for 30-50 days. That's a long time for a party not to have a leader in the house of commons.

The more comical part is that poor little PP could be booted from his home as the language states the opposition leader must be sitting in parliament, which PP isn't anymore.

I would expect the cons to call a leadership race promptly as PP is a lame duck they have to put down so they can move forward.

Election is over and Canadians carry on, unlike those poor southern bastards that have to deal with the daily destruction of their nation from within.

All we have to worry about is all the Putin and Muskrat sponsored bot farms and disinformation campaigns trying to break us up, but I think we're smarter than that.

Even most of the rednecks don't trust that stupid, evil D Smith and her maga-fellating tendencies, so I think we'll be good.
