We were raised pacifist but it's easy to understand that sometimes you need to pass a fist. After all, the entire animal kingdom seems to learn quicker when discomfort/discipline is involved.

It's also easy to forget that like the Wildlings north of the Wall, or the Fremen of Arrakis, we were spawned and raised in conditions that create toughness. People that work and live in -40C degree to +35C weather, that farm and ranch and build and play in those conditions, are not going to roll over and submit. And when we push back, we ain't gonna be playing.

Oh didn't you hear?
According to little PP, the only reason he lost his existing seat was because he was talking about reducing the number of civil servants and his greedy. lazy Ottawa constituents didn't like that. The rest of Canada is totally behind him.

The loss had nothing to do with Trump's semen trickling down his chin or supporting domestic terrorists.

"Poilievre says he lost Ottawa riding for being 'honest' about plan to cut public sector jobs."

Lol at the being honest part. Even if he wins the by - election, the leadership review in January will be interesting. The lack of solutions based criticism makes him unpalatable for many. His track record is abysmal and his lack of inclusivity isn't cool by any measure but it appeals to his base.

I was ice fishing with my brother in Feb '22 when he proclaimed that PP would be the next PM. I reminded him that he wasn't even the party leader yet. After a short discussion of facts, that he found unpleasant, he said no more talking politics. We were with our two young nephews and his big burly bil and he was embarrassed to be schooled. Since he drove us there, I complied, as we were an hour from home and a second class ride beats a first class walk any day - especially in the winter. It was a quiet ride home. We haven't talked in a couple years.
