If I want to use clipping from my babies do I need to dry the clippings before making the butter? And is it true it helps to freeze it before? I've read freezing kills trichs

dry them and grind them up as finely as you can, as for freezing beforehand I've heard people say it helps for this reason or that but i never do and i dont think most of the other people on here do either.

OK there's one for dry. I have clippings from a month ago I never dried but froze. Should I thaw them and dry them before use or just leaved them froze and use them when i'm ready?

I would guess they will thaw when you grind them. Did you freeze them green/wet? if so wonder if you'll get that fresh taste. yuk.

I've used frozen fresh leaves with great success. Your butter might be a little (or more) green because of the chlorophyl but the thc will not be affected. I like fresh or frozen bud better because it soaks up less of your butter so you recover more of it.

I have also frozen before hand, as it's supposed to make the trichomes brittle ie easier when extracting to make hash. A lot of people in the uk I know use this method and it works really well..

each to there own, what works for another, can be a disaster for another..

So just test, experiment & see what works well...

there is dozens of hash making threads/forums. Google would be your best friend for this.

Ok new question hopefully I don't need a new thread. I want this batch of butter to be super strong. How much good clippings to make a really strong batch of butter per lb of butter? I will also be using 1/4 ounce of bud per lb of butter with clippings... Yeah I wanna be super toasty!

I made butter once with 2 z of good trim to 1p of butter. 5 small cookies and the high lasted 12 hrs!
