Cannabis Cup 2012- Any one wanna come with?

I was sitting around the house bored out my mind during the thanksgiving holiday and I thought how nice it must be to be at the cannabis cup right now gettin baked on the best buds in the world. So after a few bowls of some blue moonshine I had a stroke of Genius. If I just started saving 50 cents or more a day for the next 3 years I'll have money for my judges pass and plenty left over for samples. 2012 is the 25th year so you know its gonna be a great year to go.

I'm fully planning on asking tons of people for change here and there just to help the cause, not that I'm a panhandler but hey every lil bit helps.
And yes I realize that there more expenses than just the judges pass and samples. But I'm not worried too much bout a room and plane tickets and all seeing as I have 3 years to save up for that too. Feel free to steal my idea and lets all go and get baked See you there!

I am going this year... well in about 10 days actually. The reason I decided to pull the triggier on this one is that 2011 will be the last year for Americans or any other non resident to participate. The Dutch government is changing the rules... you need to be a card carrying member of the club and you will also need to be a Dutch citizen to obtain one,,, Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm only the messenger.

Dude lets all just save like $1000 a day for 5 days and then we can go? much quicker

I might have to sell my whole first grow then hit amsterdam up it would be great to go.

I'm heading to amsterdam on the 25th, need to find the strongest strain in the city as I only have one day there. I need to get as high as humanly possible as one can in about 9 hours. Anyone have any advice on a strain/coffeeshop? I've been thinking Super lemon haze because it's 22%thc level is quite impressive but is there any there that are stronger? I don't want hash.

You have to be a dutch citizen as of the end of 2011...I still have a month. Also, I read that the law has to be passed by local government, do you really think that Amsterdam is going to give up the main reason many tourists even visit?

But those things are things you can do in any city of the world basically and oe of them is too get out of amsterdam lol.

I've never been, but my opinion is that most of their income is from tourists, mainly the U.S. and Brits. It's an asinine move that will come to haunt them once they notice the lack income. VERY ASININE MOVE. Again, I am no expert on the subject. It just seems to me they are foolish.

Maybe the US made it happen, they hatin on the green so maybe they are tryin to stop the movement.... Well I'm jus throwin that out there but noone would ever know if that was true or not, but maybe they felt they had reason Or there might have been issues

FYI, this was a decision made by the Dutch Cabinet, the city of Amsterdam is totally against it. That includes the cafes themselves, the Tourism board, and even the Mayor of Amsterdam. The Dutch government cites drug trafficking at the German and Belgium borders, and the need to keep foreigners from buying pot locally as the main reasons.

Like I said, they are going to miss those dollar signs. It won't hold up for more than a year.

Edit: and yes, you could be right, I would have no doubt that the U.S. had some sort of influence. Especially when the only people supporting this is the Dutch government.

It's still legal I was there last month,this year's cup is the last though so they reckon the residency rule coming in beginning of 2013
