Can't figure out whats wrong

  • I'm going a big bang autoflower from greenhouse seeds it leaves are turning brown and curling upward. My ph is 6.4 nutes at 1/2 dose using sensi bloom and I can't figure out what's going on. I've been having this problem for the whole growth now. i am growing in soil and the max temp in my grow room is 33.9 C Min 17.7 C same through the whole growth. I have flushed with distilled water and it helped for a bit so i still use distilled water.

I also don't know how far from harvest i am currently in week 3 into flower.

Soil grow? 6.4 is a bit too acidic, you have lockouts. Try 6.7 with 1/4 str nutes after flushing.

Magnesium (Mg): this is a component of the chlorophyll molecule, it works with enzymes in the plant. Magnesium helps support healthy veins, and leaf production.

Abundance: Excessive levels will create a toxic amount of salts, that will inturn kill your leaves, and lock out calcium.

Deficiency: This is pretty easy to notice, green veins but fully yellow leaves. leaf tips can discolor and curl upwards. leaf edges can feel dry and crispy. the necrosis on the leaf will start at the edges, work all the way around the leaf. the tips will twist and turn, then the leaves will fall off without withering. *mag def is common with too acidic pH*
heres 3 pics of early-med-late deficiencies of magnesium:

need more Mg... 0.7% isnt enough a good nutrient has 1.5-2% Mg

i suggest you feeding it a 1/2 dose with 1/4 teaspoon of espon, and give it 1/4 teaspoon of epson salt every watering

I think hexthat may be onto something, I'm only in my 1st grow and am using the sensi grow and there's what I think is a magnesium issue going through my whole grow too for the last month or so. I'm not qualified but I suspect that might be the problem for me. Maybe the AD line which is a whore for wanting people to buy the filler products doesn't have enough of some of the trace elements in the two base products grow/bloom. I will also try to get my hands on some Epsom salt to try.

That's a great big plant btw, I love it. Wishing you luck getting to the root of the problem so you can feel stress free. Please don't add too much of anything though, go easy. Getting wild is never good.

Does anyone know if red dots on the plant indicates calcium def? What would one do if it was getting pretty bad, and adding lime didn't help. (if it was close to harvest). Just go till it can't go no more and chop regardless at that point?

Yep that's most definitely magnesium up top. The red dots are also in fact calcium deficiency.

Adding lime won't help you at all, because it can take awhile to become available. Epsom salts would.

I would flush the shit out of it and check the runoff for PPM and see if it's salt buildup. If the runoff isn't horrible, like within 100 ppm of the tap going in, don't flush the plant. You'll just cause more harm than good by fucking up the cation and anion banks. I had a couple plants get that in flowering and come to find out, I was letting the soil get too dry and salt was accumulating during dry periods. Flushed it, got 1600 ppm runoff with 80ppm tap water going through.

Color came back, yellow parts died off, and we're going good. She's getting chopped saturday. Has a few ugly leaves, but they wont be on the buds so idgaf.

same as you i was having this problem also and i was under watering and under fert everytime i would let it dry out this would happen. from what ive read its a calcium def and when the soil drys out to much the roots cant absorb this micro nut. so be warned
