cant get help anywhere else so i tried here

Posted in both the newbie and grow journal, but I cant get any help whats so ever. Ive done a bunch of reading and researching, but I still cant get a definate answer on what I want.

Growing in scotts soil, watering every 3-4 days or when the middle of the soil is dry.

6x 26 watt cfls placed betwee 1-2 inches from the plants.

plants are exactly 2 weeks old now. im seeing some yellowing of the leaves and I think it might be time to start a low dose fert. I saw miracle grow fert 12-8-6 or 12-4-6 something at walmart for like 3.50. They also had a powder version of somethin of like 24-18-16. Dunno which one I should buy

Also picking up 8" pots and going to start LST'ing after the transplant, or hopefully if they look healthier after I transplant or nute

I dont know whats going wrong with some of my plants. Check them out and maybe someoen will be kind enough to help me out..

and some pics of the super droopy plant? dunno wats going wrong here. The leaves feel kind of dry so I watered them and now their even moore droopy. Also moved them a little further away from the lights.

YOu have no nutes? My first guess is the leaves are yellowing as the plant needs nuts! I a nub but i know yu shud have some now. I a hydro guy, but get some superthrive and be careful of time release is all i know about soil. sorry lol, they look nice other wise tho, and also ucan get those bigger cfls at hd or even right aid for like 9 bucks, they are 100 watt comparable ones. my clones leaves yellowed as they produce roots as the plant has to eat something before it can eat with the roots. Maybe the soil u gave had some nutrietns and now it gone and it si time to ass more. U can post for a quick repsonse or better yet read the faqa for fertilizzerz. I cud be dead wrong, hate tosee yu struggle, but i do no superthrive works, i wanna get it tattooed

You need to transplant, its yellowing due to roots at bottom are probably drowning unless you put holes in bottom of cups. Transplant, then leave it, do not do LST, you need to be able to grow a basic plant before you go and try all sorts of advanced techniques!

i learned something too. What fertilizer shud he use from hd?

Theres a couple holes on the bottom of the cups. There is also some slits on the bottom side of the cup to allow for draining. I feel like 3/4 of the water comes out when I was watering so I taped up the side holes in one of the cups.

You really think LST will be too hard? Ive read about 50 guides and seen many pictures and the whole proccess doesnt seem to hard..plus in the space Im growing in I feel like I have to to get any good results.?

Ya, I have no option of going to a hydro store so I need to pickup my mats from walmart home depot or lowes, so I am wondering the same thing.

The lights I am using are 26w for veg, 100 wat eq I believe. Plan on going with 42w for flowering.

26's are ok to flower also but you'll need at least 10 of them first thing like no drama said transplant now into some soil that dosen't have time release fert in it scotts make mirical grow soil which can dump all fert at once or none it's very unpredictable..go hyponics and add perlite its cheap soil and will need a fert program after 30 days any soil in a bag should support your plant for 30 days, guess your using tap watter as I see the calcium (white stuff) on the crust of your soil cannibis dosen't like calcium get some bottled water it will make your grow much easier and keep on reading up there are alot of things to know learn practice...good luck transplant thoses and don't fert till 30 days ok and they'll be just fine...

Transplant. Balance your feeding. You need a soilless mix like peat moss/vermiculite. Mari needs a different type of feeding regimine than your typical house plant. Looks like your micro-nutes are out of wack. Maybe Zn or Mg? Also, if you can, upgrade your lights. Mari wants to grow fast. How many plants under the lights? Remember, they're sharing the light so divde the watts by how many plants. Don't get me wrong, you can grow under flo's but I've only gotten mediocore results trying it that way. It also looks like one of the pics shows a plant damping off? Is that turning whitish at the bottom of the stem? I believe its the 4th one down. Remember, its a learning experience so change one thing at a time so you'll know what fixed your problem and what to do if it happens again. Also, take notes, this is how you become a good grower. Hey Notmine!. Is hyponics a brand of soil? Im just looking for something I can get at a department store. I want to just get regular or organic soil with no ferts and add perlite, verm, and peat moss. Where can I grab these from? Home Depot? ( Walmart didnt have any).

Yup I am using tap water. Should I just grab some distilled water before I transplant? Im thinking of getting 4 8' pots and taking the 4 healthiest looking plants and grow in those until I find out which is male/ female.

Hey man, thanks for the help!. I have 5 plants currently under 6x 26w CFLS. I am probaly going to try to fit 5x 8' pots in the two rubbermaid bins i have ( 2 22 gal on top of each of each other), but I feel like 5 8 inches wont fit in there, so might go with 4 8 inch and 1 6 inch. I have been researching and found that 150 wat hps wont go over well in a rubbermaid tub. I want to build a cab to fit in my closet or somewhere in my room, but I get kind of confused when I read around, and money is a real issue so I dont have the funds to go and fabricate a whole new box while I just spent some money on this setup. I figure I would get abount half females, so about 2-3 females out of the 5. So 2-3 females under 6x 42 wat CFL's for flowering.. how does this sound? ( Or If I can fab a cab about 40" wide x 20" deep x 4' tall..where I could support 1-2 moms, clones, and then an area for SOG for a perpetual harvest). << Any thoughts on this??

And yes, there is whitening around the stem. Not Mine suggested it was from me using tap water, so I am going to switch to either bottled or distilled.

Now I just need to find out what type of soil I should get at HD or Lowes.

i ORDERD My stuff online, good deal. I started off liek yu then jumped to hydrp and a 400 watt hid. My plants made the transplant easy. I was surprised. I think i got lucky tho. I going to home depot to buy a 20 dollar filter for the shower head or sink that get srid go 98 percent of the chlorine! Also they have water jugs ther for 10 dollars u can fill up at any coin op water stand. For my dwc i need a sys, also if yu let yur water stand out overnight the chlorine will dissapate and be ok. Just put in large pot by mornig it shud be ok! Distilled water is best.

Thats what I have been doing, in a few water bottles, just letting the water sit over night. I kind of feel like Im not watering enough, probaly about 3/4 of a whole water bottle for all 5 plants in the small cups. I just dont have the funds right now for all that HID or HPS, and hydro stuff. Plus electricty use is a big factor as our bill is already rediculous because of all the shit we have.

You can get it at Ace hardware, I wouldn't worrie about any defficency's yet..transplant don't feed and they'll be just fine...also get a pool tester for your water if using tap and check PH my water test at 9.2 very alkiline and must be adjusted they sell cheap soil testers at ace also, flouros are great for the new grower I've grown HID in other grows using cfl's now a little slower but if you know what your doing there is not much difference in the two..if you can't grow fat nugs under cfl's your not going to have any better luck with a HID I can grow fat nugs under either

Also, if you dont mind, wana run something by you. is 4-5 plants too big for the rubbermaid? I also wanted to setup some kind of perpetual harvest. Is it possible to utilize my current setup for this? I was thinking of adding another big single rubbermaid for a mother and clones, otherwise I want to build something cheap. I will probaly only ever use CFLS just because its for personal use, so anything under a QP will be enough for a few months.

get some organic fert also like alaska morebloom and fish emulsion its hard to burn your plants with organics go CFL more lummens dosen't make you a better grower I have used them both in small grows there is not that much diff...your soil is hard pan and the water is running around the dirt and out the holes transplant dude quite messing around... and stop with the tap water bro canibiss hates calcium more than the bacteria in the soil hate chlorine both suck for your plants and I'm sure you have hard water ie the white on soil left when water evaporated..

I can pull over a half gram per watt CFL usually get qp of primo smoke every 40 days there is the whole drying and curing thing also but after a few crops it gets much better yeah I would get two cabs going and clone let veg 20 day after rooting and transplant and bud at 8" make sure there healthy (kinda big) when you start them my room is a bit bigger and I could use a 400w HPS but to much heat prefer low electric bill with low heat less stress on me and plants have run large perpetual uless your large scale cfls are good much better than what we had when I started 15 years ago with lame 4 footers
