Cant get the Plants started.

My aerogarden delux sprouted two seeds... but they havent grown much at all and it been 2 weeks already. It got the first set of round leafs just barely the next set of leafs. the plants are only 1/4 inch tall. I must be doing something wrong. I was messing around with the plants and it turns out that they didnt even have any roots. they where just growing ontop of the spong pod. after taking the bio domes off they dried up and died. Time to start over. this is gonna be my third time trying can anyone give me some advice on doing this right and what i might have been doing wrong b4

maybe a step by step approach to starting the plant would be great! I've grown many seeds in soil and never this way so im having a little bit of trouble.

In my opinion you should put them in wet rockwool cubes after they germinate and then put them in the machine when you know they have rooted. i mean alot of roots. keep them in the domes. that is how clones and baby seedlings get food {HUMIDITY} They absorb the moisture through leaves when no roots are present. You can always go back to what you already know {soil} but I would give her some more trys. Hope this helps. I also dont use any nutrients to start .are you using nutrients?

u can germinate ur seeds with the paper towel method or just put them in the ag lol as a beginner i know its exciteing lol dont touch em all the time lol keep domes on and also get a ph tester to keep your water in line when theve sprouted out above the pod cover the sponge area so the light is not getting to the sponge and so on i mean realy just follow quite a few threads on here u can realy learn alot if u take the time to read and take it in but if your truly interested u would have already found that out by now =) hope this helps

thanks people, i've found some good idea's as well. another question. Because of my situtaion, i cant have a huge grow set up.. thats the whole reason why i bought the AG in the first place. I have it in a very large cardboard box to try to keep it discreet. Anyway my set up is the AG, and a small fan inside of the box so there is some air movement going on. What else should i do? Im reading a lot about humidity. How can i keep the humidity high in my box. What level is it supposed to be at? And the i used tap (city) water. Is that not good?

I think you set man, tap water is fine as long as you pH adjust it
