Can't keep 4x4x7 room cool (without AC)

A/C doesn't allow the ventilation concept of negative pressure to be practicable unless you feel like sucking out all the cool air and then it wouldn't make sense either way. Negative (reduced) pressure takes precedence over a/c cooling if you plan on controlling odors. The only way to eliminate 100% of cannabis odor is to have negatively pressurized rooms and carbon filtration. That scenario cannot coexist with a/c. Although you may not need to worry about odors. If this is the case, you could use a/c but it would only be wise if supplemental ventilation doesn't do the trick of lowering your temps.

How can they not coexist? get rid of the intake vent, blow cold ac air into the room, and force the hot air out via the vent... Still produces the negative pressure needed... What am i missing here?

If you only need to cool a small space a few degrees, there are fans you can purchase that use ice water to blow cool air. They are perfect for cooling a small area. Just be sure not to point the fans at your hot bulbs and don't run it "lights out" during flowering as it will increase humidity. Just make cubes in your freezer to keep the water cold.

I just bought a growlab 145 for a veg tent..its 4" 11' x 4" 11'...I'm using a 600 watt mh and a 4 ft parabolic hood .

I have a 6 inch vortex 455 cfm hooked up to a carbon filter for my exhaust and 3 open air intake vents. The hot air is exhausted out a window.

my temp outside my tent is 70*F inside the tent with the door closed its 74*F

You have to exhaust your heat better...get a bigger cfm exhaust fan:leaf:

I have a Growlab 80. 2'7"x2'7"x6'. I have an xtrasun6 hood that I am running a 600hps. It's in my garage and the outdoor temps are 65. I have one fan pushing the heat from the hood out the tent. I have a 20" box fan on the floor sucking in fresh air, (2) 6" clip on fans that I have at canopy hieght. Never turn the fans off. My other room I have a 16" fan, a 48" oscillating tower fan with a 6" clip on fan. This is typically my vegg room and I run a 400w halide with a wing. This room I built myself and I have to open the door to exhaust it. U can get a window AC unit with 5000btu's for $125. I just had central air installed and sold the 3 units I had. Kinda wish I had them now.

Yeah but wouldn't the exhaust negate the AC? I don't think u can duct a window AC

Just to double check. Your lights are on at night correct? also you said you are using a cool tube but made no mention of what size res and chiller you have it working with. A bigger res helps. and you can change the water every night to let the chiller turn off. wasteful but works.

if your concern for running negative pressure is the reason for no ac then just have a sealed room with no exhaust and a minisplit ac. ive had many people less than 5' from the door to my flower room, with 36 plants, and never was a concern.
