Cant keep humidity at a steady 50%?? can someone help me out??

Ive just switched on my 400hps,temp is at 86f but humidity keeps droppin into the twenty's?? I have added three bowls of hot water rises it abit but just drops soon after or when i flick water on walls of my 3x3x5 grow tent,"dr 60". That helps too but soon drys up and humidity starts to drop again?? need help quick please im afraid these baby's will die on me,dont know wat to do have to leave tent open because it is building up too much heat also?????:-(

86 is too hot from my experience and you must ventilate more and bring the temp down then try setting another bucket of water inside and see if the temperature changes holds the humidity any better ... good luck bongsmilie

Smoke are you running an exhaust fan in that tent? If the answer is yes you exchanging the air inside the tent faster than the bowl of water can replace. What are the conditions in the room that the tent is in? If the room conditions are good and that air is exchanged in tent every 5-10 minutes or so, you should be OK.

hey ow, the conditions are ok room temp average around 22c, so wat shall i do?? i have exhaust fan. wats the best solution ow??

You guys are killing me with that metric stuff 22=71 and that's OK that should cool the 86 tent temps well but, what is the humidity in the room? That is the air that is entering the tent. In the end that is going to determine the humidity in the tent. How big is the tent and how many VFM is the fan?
