Can't tell if this is overwatering or something else

Swear I saw something about them being good for green houses up high between the rafters in green houses.

Listen to what they say about using them in greenhouses. Not sure if this is the same video as I was thinking of but close to it.

Start @15:20 raise the smaller hood, more focused light beam Gavita higher, is what they are saying. Shortly more into the video they explain a bit about heat stress and how much photons the plant can absorb before getting stressed, then they go on with a chart showing how far to keep a 600w from the canopy. Think they said 16" and your 1k will be more intense plus you have a small hood with a more focus beam. Looks like their char suggests 20 inches for a 1k, I'm thinking even more with the small hood design. According to the chart at 15" with your 1k you are 188% of the suns power at noon facing the equator or whatever they said, again probably even more intense then that with a small hood.

i lolipop them in veg and i use http://www.gavita-holland.com/index.php/products/proline/item/gavita-pro-1000-de.html so i'm not very worried about penetration, although the lights these plants are under is different

Ahh okay, I must have missed that. I think 20" should be good but I don't know for sure, never used a 1k.
Just watch for when her leaves dance towards that bulb, you might need to raise it again that first day till you figure out where she wants to settle
and keep adjusting as needed from there. She might perk up and try to reach out with those leaves pointing up at the bulb a few inches or so at first that you will want to compensate for.

I think I actually need a different hood myself.
I went with a Raptor 6", and only run 600 watts.
I was pretty set on getting a Magnum xxxl hood, but when I went to get one, they were out and said hat the Raptor is pretty much the same thing.
This was at Monster gardens and they said nothing about a Raptor hood being better suited for a 1k bulb. I even told them it was for a 4x4 tent.
They had no problem selling it to me. I bought my 600 watt ballast and bulb, fan, ducting, rope ratchet's, and some other gear all at the same time.
Now I'm stuck with this huge hood that I can't return, and I don't plan to put a 1k bulb in it, or grow in a larger area. I want to get a Blockbuster 6"
Not sure if I can trade my Raptor in. I know at monster gardens they do have a section where there is old beat up dented hoods often with no glass.
Mines not dented at all and the glass is perfect so its still got to be worth something.
