wikipedia defines it as

Cantheism, also Kantheism, is a modern term for religions based on the inherent goodness of the cannabis plant. Adherents are known as cantheists or cannabists. Cantheism neither endorses nor discriminates against any other church, faith, or system of belief.

So can a canthiest be prosecuted and charged for marijuana possesion or cultivation in the US?

O.M.G would this hold in court???
I don't know but you could make up any religion you wanted and make a wiki page...
but america was built on freedom of religion...that's exactly what pilgrams were trying to escape,

our gov is too corrupt..I think you'd have to get petitions, make news and mass media, put up a place of "prayer"

...but this is a great point :peace:

I actually practice cantheism, and encourage any person to do the research and decide for themselves. It has opend my perspective and really enhanced not only my life but the human interaction with canabis.
And, to answer your question, yes it is possible to use this in court as well. We are free people practicing our rights and using this to open ourselves to a totally unbias perspective on life. although it still takes a decent lawyer and there is a lot of ho hum about it. But the larger we are, the more recognition we receive, and the more educated the public becomes, the lighter our burden is. We are real followers of a true and very real religion. Non bias free thinking souls.

i havnt read heavily into cantheism but since they neither support nor discriminates against other religions could someone in fact be a christian cantheist and stay true to both religions? Although ive herd canntheism is more of a philosophical way of life than an actual religion so a philosophic christian makes sense to me.

It is absolutly possible to be a christian and cantheist at the same time! The point is that we answer to our true feelings and realize that whatever "riligious" base we might feel free to embrace, we enlighten that experience with an open mind. And that is the state achieved through cantheism. And is is more of a way of life than a religion. But whenever you do something on a regular basis and it becomes your way of life, you are doing something "religously". Therfore that is what makes our group a religion.

I'm glad to hear that you guys are open to a totally different and personal point of view on life. This discussion has had me digging through all sorts of very real information and history of using "the plant of 12 uses" in life, it seems like every time I open one of those 12 uses into my life, the quality of life I lead improves. And I'm not the earthy hippy type either. Anyhow, I highly incourage anyone to do the study, look at the facts, and make a rational decision that only improves your life and WHO YOU ARE! Never compromise fufillment of life for something that ties your ambitions down, heavies your spirit, and keeps you from reaching and achieving!

Cannabis was used 12 ways: clothing, paper, cord, sails, fishnet, oil, sealant, incense, food, and in ceremony, relaxation and medicine. For so the Lord said unto me, "I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs. For afore harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches." (Isaiah 18:4-5)
