Cap's RP Purple OG #18 Kush 1200w Scrog

Hey RIU. I was in a toss up between the Kosher Kush & the Purple OG. Decided to go with the Purple cause it landed on tails lol. Just speculations & I personally hate when people just spread info without actually having first hand experience. I don't believe in that. Over the next couple months I will provide a detailed account of my grow & won't fall off like most of the grows I see online.

Plans:
(6) Reserva Privada Purple OG #18
(2) 600w Scrog w/ FFOF Soil
5x5 Tent
Time Crunch - 6 Week 24hr Veg
3 Part AN Jungle Juice w/ a couple supplements

This is my first time doing soil & I want to compare it to my normal hydro runs. I know its kinda backwards but I'll probably need some info on the way. Feel free to ask any questions. I will update the journal a couple times a week & posts pics weekly for those who like detail & want to learn

Today I got the seeds in the mail from Attitude. My method is to soak until they sink & put them straight into the Rapid Rooters. We've all seen pics of seeds so I'll skip this step but here's what the package looks like. Should of took it before I opened it up. I'll add pics of my setup once they sprout in the RR

Soaked them overnight & put them in the RR, covered in plastic, & under my T5 stand. I've always had a 100% pop rate within about 24hrs this way & hopefully this one is no different.

In soil, when do I put them in the FFOF pots? I'm guessing when the shoot thru the bottom. I let em get several inches when I do hydro

Great start Cap! I usually put sprouts into soil once the taproot shows thru my rapid Rooters. ATB!

Nice, I'm actually growing both Kosher Kush and the Purple og#18 right now. So it'll be nice to compare mine with yours. Mine are about 18 days from seed.

Yea it would cool to compare them. I'd def like to see it if you have any pics. I was in a toss up between those two. I' be growing Kosher Kush outdoor with a few others in a few months though

- (6) CC Tahoe OG
- (6) CC Pre-98 Bubba Kush
- (6) RP Kosher Kush
- (10) BC Seed King Purple Kush

Ok here's a couple pics of my two Purple OG #18's. They are pretty much identical, even though I heard there was a fair bit of variation in phenos in this cross.

Since this is an experimental grow I wanted to try some new stuff out. I put the seedlings in a 3" peat pot. I put the RR in a mixture of 2 parts FFOF & 1 part Perlite. Hopefully the Perlite will help em from not burning. I have to order some big pots since no stores have the cheap ones around me. 4/6 of my seedlings are fine. One I pulled out of the RR by accident but stuck it back in & its fine & another was stuck with the seed shell over the RR hole so wasn't growing for a day or so. Both are fine but want to give them a few more days before I put em under the MH. I'll probably put them under only 1 600w on Monday & start counting veg days then. How much do I water them now? & any other advice?

Well I've had a few hiccups. One got pulled out by a nosey little kid -_- & they are all stretching like a bitch. Two are stretching so much they are falling straight over. I figured they weren't getting enough light so I put em under a 600w for a day but no help. I'm guessing the plastic cup is stopping light now. Its 2:30am & taking off the cup until morning to see how they do. They were still stretching under the 600w & the leaves weren't getting bigger.

Glad this is just a small experimental grow & the first time I'm having problems but oh well

Cut the bottom out of the cups, and use them as support. I have that issue sometimes, no biggie. It just means you need to re-pot them into bigger pots now, but the bottomless cup will help. ATB!
