carbon filter question

Yo what's up I'm about to be picking up the rest of my shit for my grow, and was wondering I all ready have my filter and fan and was thinking about not having a door on the closet my grow would be in, would there still be a smell or would it be completely gone, also if some smell did leak how strong would that be like would you only smell it in the room the grow is in. Also my grow will be in my basement so would I be able to smell it up stairs with a filter

If you got a grow in the basement, and the closet door is open, what in fact would be happening is that you are carbon filtering the air in the entire room, not just the closet, if its only a couple of plants this actually works at causing no smells , as I've tried this myself, however if you got a jungle going on in there its unlikely to completely get rid of the reek alltogether

PS Theres also a quality product called ONA GEL this can mask a smell quite effectively especially if you can buy the ona gel fan which attaches to a bucket of the ona gel itself

I would only be doing two plants at once

Scented gels only mask the smells, when carbon gets rid of the smell.

It just depends on which way you want to go.

I have filter I was just basically wondering since I don't have a door for the closet I would be growing in even with the filter would you still be able to smell the plants it would only be 2 at the most

I'd be more concerned about light leak then the smell to be honest, since the smell is all strain dependent. But light leaks are not, light leak will hermy any strain out there.

I know what you talking about with a carbon filter you can still get a small whiff of the plant but its only noticeable to you as the grower or a trained personal. A person who know nothing of your op can be in the same location and wont be able to tell what the smell is because its a mixture of carbon and the plant.

I hope you understand what im trying to say a rule of thumb is always have like a odor dispenser around your grow with a ona spray or glade in there or the gel. I came across this and heard from a source it works its called TCell Air Freshener Dispenser its on flebay for 24 bucks here is the link check it out. On the other hand you should be good with two plants bro but always have something else to help mask the smell.

during the last month in veg, my pineapple chunk, laughing buddah, and nl13/KKSC strains have ALL smelled. im also growing in the basement, and can smell vegetative growth upstairs. I have 10 odor absorber/air fresheners placed around the basement and a few upstairs. im also running an expensive heppa filter AND a carbon filter in my ac unit, as well as a monster (6" inlet x 8"W x 24"L, with 120 oz of premium activated charcoal pellets) carbon scrubber in my flower tent (flipping tonight). im hoping this keeps the smell at bay in the flower room and in the entire house. if not, time for some ona gel buckets.

Hey are you pulling air thru your scrubber the only way I can see that happening is if you are pushing air out of the scrubber. Is the filter in the tent or outside?

in don't run any kind of scrubber in my veg tent. not really needed in veg. one strain is notorious for smelling up the joint even in veg.

my flower room setup is carbon scrubber (inside tent)/fan/duct/tent/duct exiting into my basement.
