I found these drip caps last night in Treating Yourself magazine. It looks like these may be able to help you. These pop on the soil pots and water your plants, so a few days will be ok. I went to their website and didn't find much info, that is why I simply took a picture instead of using the link. I can't find any other info on them yet.
