Catalyst altered water and the ion relationship

I've seen a few brief articles online about "charged" or altered water. The science behind CAW or catalyst altered water is still eluding me, but its an intriguing idea. I'm very curious on the subject, and anyone who has heard about charged water I would welcome to share insights and links here in this thread. It may be more suited for the advanced forum at the moment, but I tend to think this may be the next most mentioned area of grow advice in the general forum soon :)

ok well where to start...a catalyst is any chemical that alters a reaction rate without being used up in the reaction itself, for example, catalase - found in the blood increases the rate at witch H2O2 breaks down into water and oxygen . the same mass of catalase is left at the end of the reaction as there was to begin no diffrent to how it began.

when you "charge" something this can mean two things, either it has gotten warmer as the amount of energy has increased the speed at witch the molecules move at or that the hydrogen ion (H+) content has changed, less H+ the lower the pH the H+ more the higher the pH.....now to charge water you need to add impurities in terms of growing pH up and/or pH down are used to do this, water alone cannot be charged because of the way its molecules are, H2O - this is basically one H+ and two OH- (OH- is in this context an opposite of H+) if in the case water is added into an alkaline mixture the OH- brings down the pH by binding to the free H+ creating water and in an acid it brings up the pH by doing the opposite...the OH- and H+ dissociate, its been a while since i have looked at that stuff so its abit hazy, (mmmmm haze!)
but basically you cannot alter the pH of water without adding things
if you have any questions? i'd be happy to answer them

Old thread but maybe you'll be able to help still... I just picked some of this stuff up for shits and giggles. Didnt know what it was just seemed interesting. I'm going to give it a try on some but I'm not sure if I should ph it after mixing with water or is it the ph that's giving the effects?
