Catt's Bubblelicious Grow ~ 500w of CFL and 10,000w of LOVE!!

thanks peeps :) It's Fafard 1-pv this is what's in it and it's the best quality dirt I can find where I'm at!

  • Canadian Sphagnum Peat Moss (80%), perlite, vermiculite, starter nutrients, wetting agent & Dolomitic limestone.
  • Bulk density: 8 to 10 lbs.
  • pH range: 5.5 to 6.5 after wetting

I just drug my compost bin up near my door for the season....so I'm hoping to have my own great dirt next year :)

Damn thats going to be a lot of weed, and the good smelling kind too, they are looking healthy, I havent had any hands on with the light your asking about.

Bubble babies are 2 weeks old now :) Switched the feeding to 1oz seaweed/fish per gal h2o on week 2 (a good amt. of h2o per pot), with 1oz seaweed per gal h2o only to be used when they need water in between weeks 2-3. They have grown wide so much and haven't really stretched much yet. I've been keeping the lights at 1-2" and the temps 75-80 lights on and 60-70 lights off. I added 1 more 26w 6500k to the pot with the "lil scrappy" one in it. So right now they've got the 6 26w 2700k~ 4 26w 6500k~ 1 deep blue 54w 10kk with 8 unknown watt leds build inside (this is the bad ass light for my 55g fish tank Logarithmic, it's so awesome :) So if you total it up it's 314w. The fish tank light also has a 54w retenic-03 which is kinda purple and I'm not using it right now cuz I'm not really sure if will do anything and it makes the temps go up a little. Anyone know about these retenic bulbs? Anywho here are the pics of the Bubblelicious at 2 weeks old :)

so how long are you planning on vegging for? in my current grow i have an interesting enough mix. 1st plant is a 33 day veg. 2nd is an 18 day veg. 3rd is 12/12 from seed. i look forward to seeing the difference that these increments produce. if i had my way i'd veg for 3 or 4 months but i'm on a strict(baby's on the way)time schedule. :D

You know....I haven't really decided that yet. Just gonna play it day by day. I was thinking about 4 weeks, then toppping them all and flipping to 12/12. It's a tough call for me cuz I would love to veg them for 12 weeks...lol! I vegged my first grow for 9 and got 5.4 zips off 3 bagseeds. But seeing as I've got all 5 and I'm kinda limited due to available width of my closet, I'll shoot for 4 weeks maybe. :)
I LOVE that your doing that experiment, I'm headed over to check it out :)

RIU is a awsome site, just alot of people were crushed when they lost everything.
Its hard to start everything over again. I was lucky enough to have had half my thread left. It was sad because I lost lots of good advice and posts.
LEts just look at it as a fresh start. Hopefully some people will slowly return.

I totally wasn't expecting all 5 to crack open....never mind make it to 2 weeks. I planted all 5 expecting to get maybe 3 popped, watch....all 5 are gonna be healthy and happy and I'll have to buy MORE LIGHTS....lol! You think I'll be OK with the 500+w I have for flowering. Hopefully things don't get overwhelming in my closet...HAHA! You mean my ladybuds aren't going to smell like fruity turkey stuffing this time......YAY!!!
 
thinking about topping next week, just want to top em all just once. You guys think I'll have enough space?
Top after the 4th or 5th node, wait a week or so until they recover, then throw em into flowering. That would make them at 4-5 weeks veg. They are just getting their 3rd node now. I would lst them all but then I would need to give my real children up for adoption and quit my day job...lol!
 
Lst doesn't take much time , at least not for me since I use those little wire bread ties.
Topping will bush them out , I'm sure you know that.I actually only tie my plants down when I water them about twice a week .
Lst makes for a more even canopy so the lower nodes get the same amount of light as the main colas.
I think you'll have enough room tho which ever decision you make .

Let me know when you plan on flowering ill take some clones & switch mine to 12/12 also

"like" ;) Why thank you....the only thing I'll change in flower about this setup is I'll remove the aquarium light and add 10 more 2700k's ...lol! It's gonna be a jungle in there, I hope I can handle it all ;)
 
Wanna vegg for 12weeks huh wow but with five I would sat you have the perfect oppurtunity to experiment with one topping, one lsted, one vert, and so forth but what is the width and depth of your closet, and I sure you can take them 6 weeks with no problem during flowering, and thats enough light for flower but of course more light is always better, being them things make so much she bud as it is, I love the results of the bubbles, your making lean towards popping one on the oven.

These are some of the most healthiest babies I've seen and its bout time to start letting them feed;) at 1/4-1/2 of the recommended strength of course.

tell me about it....my last grow I had to keep my closet door open all night. Now I don't have to. Plus it's so much easier to control my temps. I can just look at the weather for that day before I head out and adjust my fans/heater accordingly. Hopefully I won't have to worry about too much heat this spring, I'm at a pretty high elev :)

I'm not really much of an experimenter unfortunately or I totally would. I like making a plan and sticking to it....things seem to work out better for me that way 99.7% of the time. So at this point I'm planning on topping them all 1 time each, or maybe 2 times. For my next grow I will lst, but I still feel pretty new at this and still wanna KISS as much as I can before I lst anything :) Don't want to overload myself too much yet with growing styles (I'm not ready...lol). My closet is only about 18" deep, so I don't want them to get too bushy, bushy. That's why I was thinking of topping only once, or even fim. I've never even had Bubblelicious before....I love when you talk about it...makes me excited ;) And oh yeah...when flowering comes so do the additional lights....my 2 68w 2700k's and 8 more 26w 2700'ks :) But don't forget I won't be using the tank light anymore.....I miss seeing my fish under it....LOL! I have a silly 29 gal hood over it now and it looks so funny...HAHA!! That would be totally awesome to see you lst a Bubblelicious, in a perfect world I could give you a clone to do your magic to.

Awww Chief...thank you ;) I actually already have been feeding them....since week 1 when I transplanted and they had their first set of true leaves. I found a feeding schedule created by Neptunes Harvest especially for MMJ and they seem to love it. I just sprinkled a little pinch of blood meal on top of the dirt before I gave them their in-between week 2-3 watering of 1oz seaweed per gal h2o. Hope they like it :) The schedule is not even close to the directions on the bottle so I'm super oober glad I found it!
