Catt's Semi-auto Northern Special Grow #1

Give me your weather conditions and such cali and I'll give you some good ideas about some good outdoor strains for ya. :D

Oh and how is my cali doing :)
 
UPDATE!! So here we are finishing up week 4 flower. Just gave the ladies 1/2 gal H2O with about 2oz Fish/Seaweed blend, and 1/2 gal H2O mixed with some molasses. I forgot how bad molasses smells....YUK! You would think the fish and seaweed smell more...NO WAY!!! Does molasses always smell like that??? Hope I don't have a bad batch or something!

Tightened up a few of their ropes and gave them a nice misting (no flinging...lol) and they really seem to appreciate it. Misted a little yesterday and they look a little shinier today!

I fluffed up the dirt a bit with my hands too. Always around mid flower the medium liked to get a hard and crusty so I try my best to fluff it up and poke a few holes around just to help keep the oxygen movin.

I've soo excited to try some NL :) I don't think I've ever had it before. At least if I did....I wasn't aware. I love when you know what your looking for in a smoke.

The Special Queen smells sooooo freakin skunky......I can tell it's gonna be really dense just by the way the ladybuds are forming like golf balls.
 
Molasses has it's own smell lol, what kind are you using? I bet it's just the thick ass molasses you are smelling. No worries :D
 
Everything's looking in TOP form Cali!It's nice to be a couple weeks to the day behind you almost! Gives me lots to look forwards too!
And did you bubble the water before you watered? Helps things out SUBSTANTIALLY!
AND my autos doing well on 12/12 like yours that's good to see.
So much for autos...:joint:

I'm using Grandmas Robust...maybe thats why..lol! It's the kind in the green jar. Gee, I hope the girls like it "ROBUST"...lol!

Bubble the water? I did not even think of that!! I have an extra air stone and motor too from my fish tank. Tell me more about this.......please :)

Glad to see your autos are doing good too! I may just stick to autos from now on....however my photo seems to be catching up :o We shall see....
Can't wait to see how your babies are doin!
 
How long till I'm not Mr Ganja anymore.... :( So sick of being a Mr.... they should change that!!! Did ya hear me ROLLIUP.ORG???? YOU SHOULD CHANGE THAT!!! LOL!

You got a ways to go cuz I'm still a Mr. Ganja and I have more posts then you lol,and as long as your molasses is unsulphered you are ok :D

Yeahh...well my auto didn't auto flower for some reason...
It didn't start flowering until flipped to 12/12. Since then its progressed faster than both my photos. MUCH faster tho.
I wonder how much of the yield I'm sacrificing by running it 12/12.....we shall see.

And bubbling the water well......
First off oxygenation...enriching your water with oxygen.
Second, when you add the bubbling to the seaweed mix you start multiplying microbes.
The molasses added to that mix perpetuates everything and you've got yourself a good AACT.

Teaming With Microbes is a damn good book! It's EXTRA informative and not that hard to understand!
Look into getting that as well as looking into AACT. Actively Aerated Compost Teas!
You can make them out of lots of different things you prob have around :joint:

I did veg my auto..lol for 6 weeks, pistils at 4. I forget how long you 18/6'd yours?? Maybe she just didn't have enough time??? My last grow was a little 12/12 from seed micro (sort of a fun grow for experiment) and she flowered at pretty much the same time as the auto I have now that I veg'd...so who knows??? I'm totally gonna LST scrog 20 beans of AUTO FEM's my next grow. I would like to open the closet and have to whole top canopy a sea of green :) I know now that I can control the light at my canopy, and now that I understand LST I think I can get a lb out of my closet doing it like that......it's gonna be FUN!

Gonna start doing some reading up on teas....it's sounds so good! Thanks for the reference points! How long do you bubble for before watering? I'm so doing this next time I water ;)
 
I sure hope so ;) Patience is key here for me....I'm trying so hard to give it a few days without looking. It's so hard....
Not sure about flower time for Special Queen. She's a skunk sativa/indica hybrid so I'm thinking 12 weeks to let her ripen up, I'll be checking trichs though. So my approximation is harvest around St Patty's Day hopefully. We'll see how long my leaves stay green for, It's usually 2-3 weeks after they start yellowing and showing N diff. that they really finish up.

Lmao Catt I never paid that no mind til you said something now i will always look. Your ladies are looking wonderful as always hopefully we don't have any with sex changing tendencies this time but its one bud site I see in there I think that thing is going to be so long and thick on the special queen;) Bravo for giving me my fix of top shots they just do something for me that i cant explain....

HAHA, I feel like I've been Mr. Ganja forever. I prob wouldn't be if the stupid hiccup didn't happen last year! If any go hermie on me again I'll just die Chief :( But I have good feelings about this. I've been being good so far and not touching them too much, and I've checked numerous amts of time for light leaks. I hope they don't get all freaked out about the new humidifier??? It didn't change my temps or anything....so that's good!

I hope all my ladybuds are long and thick.....just the way I like em' :o I have 15 big tops on each of them, and a bunch in between. I just wish I could pull a few more fans off but I'm scared now......maybe like 1 or 2 a week? I pinched the crap out of the NL in veg and now I kinda regret it cuz I have waaaaaay too many little leaves. Maybe if I bonsai a little it won't stress em.....I do know that I have too much shade deep down in the middle canopy. Maybe I should break out my fish tank light for the lower growth??? Or maybe I shouldn't worry about the lower stuff. Oh I don't know......I just want it to be the best it can be with what I've got.

I try....but it never works out for me like that. I hate seeing them yellow, should I give little bit of N maybe if they start being naughty? I was thinking of putting some cal/mag in the medicine res of the humidifier.....lol! I need to get some real cal/mag...... for actual plants....LOL!

Epsom salts, that will get your mag, and just keep a steady N does all the way until the last 3 feedings. Just watch your girls they will tell you what they want. Feed, feed, water, feed, feed, water.
 
hey epsom salt is cheap too....k, give me the low down on em. Maybe a tsp or so with food or just with water. Should I wait till I see things yellowing or start now? I could go look it up but I'd rather hear it from someone I know :) TY!
