CBD? Is it part of your meds?

Staykeyed seeds has a 47:1 CBD thc strain called Ringo's Gift. I bought seeds for a friend and he still hasn't grown them so I can't tell you much about it.
Daaaamn .Where'd ya order those from? I haven't seen that breeder on any seedbanks I use.

I'm curious how many here grow high CBD strains for their medical needs?

I've found it much harder to find a high/pure cbd, NO thc strain than really high thc strains. I need the thc myself, but my wife wants cbd without getting high, and other than the candida strain, which I'd have to order online and risk my money, I don't even know anyone who has anything like it. I say "know" but I mean of the people I've talked to online...

I'm not looking for handouts or anything here, I am just wondering why high/pure CBD genetics seem so rare.
Im trying to germinate som cannatonic from Resin seeds all 5 sprouted but then they all dampen off. I wonder wtf I'm doing wrong?? Fuq!

The site I found for them on wix.com lists Ringo as discontinued... I did find the seeds at pacific seed bank, their description says

"Ringo’s Gift is a hybrid with impressive CBD levels. The ratio of this strain varies from 1:1 to 24:1 (CBD to THC)."

The reason I'm looking for something with no THC is because of the stupid impaired driving law.. My wife is an American citizen, and a permanent resident here in Canada, we've lived here for 40 years. If she were to be charged with impaired due to low levels of thc in her blood, she could be deported... Then who would do my laundry? No, seriously, the risk is too great, we're not ready for her to be a test case...
So, while she does benefit a lot from the CBD, she won't take the chance... We know the CBD works because we used to spend $135 for a tiny little bottle when we first got our scripts... If she's going to be driving any time in the next 12 hours, she won't smoke. I grow a 1:1 right now for her.... Me, I like THC mostly, but the CBD helps too.

This is straight from our conversation on Instagram:
"Rings gift is perfet for anyone interested in Cbd as it is 27/1-56/1 Cbd/Thc"

"Every seed will test 27/1-56/1 cbd/Thc so that should be fairly easy"

I wonder why the other site said it would range from 1:1 and up... I can't take the chance, and can't afford to have each female from seed tested. I think I'm going to order the Cherry Wine, and possibly Candida 1 if I can.

Dinafem has one called dinamed cbd plus. Its nice but the yields werent great. I did a few things wrong so ill blame it on that. It was my first time growing it and i have a clone flowering now. Hopefully this time around I'll get more.

There are NO CBD strains that are going to be uniform in their content. You can not grow CBD seeds without having the finished product tested. Testing is the only way you can know for sure what is in it.
Again there are no seeds of CBD strains that can guarantee a certain ratio. Certain ratios may be possible, but you need to hunt for them.

Cheers :)

I am growing shark shock cbd now from Dinafem, and dinamed cbd plus. I have also grown Candida cd1. I can confirm Candida does not get you high and it tastes amazing (yes, even with that name!). It has a flower sweet taste that I enjoy a lot. Keeps you calm but you don't get high. It is relaxing, a warmth feeling. Dinamed cbd plus also doesn't get you high. The plants from this pic are shark shock CBD, I will make a smoking report once they are finished, but it looks very promising. Im also growing dinamed cbd plus again (plants on the right and back in the canopy pic; leaves are more sativa ish, not as big as shark shock).

Dinamed CBD plus is not a high yielding plant, it is usually a bit skinny and can easily stretch like most sativa plants. So far, the best CBD strain and most reliable of these is Candida. I am trying to quit smoking potent weed since my "getting high as fuck" time has passed. I am transitioning slowly to cbd or 1:1 plants. High THC plants give me anxiety, while CBD plants make me relaxed, in a good way. You feel calm and at ease while not being high.

Is it because they can't stabilize that in a strain like they seem to be able to for THC, I mean, strains always come with a blurb about the thc content... or is that just as unpredictable?

I saw a home test kit you can buy, 2-8 tests for something like $165, probably plus tax and shipping. I suppose if you ended up with a couple females, they could be tested and the best one kept as a mother, and in the long run, that's not too bad of an investment. Heck a test kit and a pack of seeds is still cheaper than buying it from an LP :)

Ya it is no different then most strains. You will see variation among plants. They will state the highest THC a strain can potentially have, but every plant will not have it. Same for CBD strains.

You are right. IMHO the best plan of attack is to test and isolate a good mother plant. I haven't looked into the DIY test kits so I can't comment on those. But I am under the impression as a medical grower I have access to testing through HC . I believe someone had said it is about $40 a pop but I can't say for sure.
Also just want to mention that your Mrs would be fine with up to a 2% THC content. Infact in a lot of cases to get max benefit at least 1% is desired. It will NOT get her high and she will not be above the ridiculously low allowable amount for driving.

Cheers :)

The dinamed cbd plus tastes nice....a bit citrusy and is quite relaxing.

It comes back to there being no money in it. To stabilize a cbd strain and breed for a specific ratio of cbd to thc would take years. Time better spent financially speaking on growing regular cannabis.

Thank you... I'll look into the HC testing option. I grow clones, except when Ineed to start from seed, like a new strain if I can't get clones. I need to start paying attention to traits so I know which mothers to keep if I'm going to order some seeds.

That's too bad, but now that CBD is becoming more mainstream, perhaps that will change.

Say what you will about the LP products, it's nice knowing exactly where my CBD came from and knowing it's not from hemp plants.
Not an ideal solution for everyone, but the other 3 providers I used to get CBD from have all disappeared, so times are tough on that front.

CBD bought from an LP is POISON
WHAT PART ABOUT THEM USING POISON ON YOUR MEDS ARE YOU MISSING

YOUR CBD HAS THC as well!!
