Cell Phone Picture Risks?

Could someone tell me the risks of uploading cellphone pictures to RIU? are there any tags or anything that can be traced to your number? Any info will be appreciated. - farmer:joint:

no cell pics are fine its all i used to take pics and to put a trace or a bug on a cell phone they would have to have a federal Warrant witch im sure they cant get on you
 
ahh, alright. I thought that it was safe, but heard they might be trackable. thanks for the info guys, + rep

Modern cell phone pictures contain GPS coordinates if the function is enabled (i don't know to what extent they can track, but i know that apple does not allow istore using iphone owners to opt out of tracking)
 
Personally I wouldn't risk it. HOWEVER those with GPS cell phones should take steps to make sure the Efix data is completely fucking useless to authorities. Armed with a Big Bud coffee table book, and High Times Centerfolds...... you could drive around town and take pictures of [pictures of] plants in lots of interesting places, {the DA's house, courthouse, sheriffs house, town square, etc] and post them online for the law to figure out locations. Hopefuly, if this Efix data nonsense ever appears in court, the NORML lawyer is clever enough to have already done this.

Thnx dino bone, i'd think it would be almost impossible to prove who the plants belong too, just based on picture data

Likewise. 1. pixel for pixel the digi cam is a good bit better 2. why bother taking a risk when there's no need (if you don't have a digi cam, that's a slightly different story :D)
