Centrifugal PC Fans Anyone?

Has anyone ever tried using a centrifugal PC fan rather then the typical inline PC fan? They're mini-squirrel cage fans, can they push through a carbon filter significantly better then an inline PC fan?

Here's one I'm looking at:

Nidec Gamma 30 Gamma30 Centrifugal Fan

Manufacturer Specs

I ask because I have a veg cabinet I'm converting into a flowering cabinet. I've been using a couple inline PC CPU fans to exhaust, works perfect, plenty of air flow and very quiet. However, for flowering I'll need carbon scrubbers and inline PC fans don't push through filters hardly at all.

I already have the exhaust ports wired for 12vdc and I want to keep ambient noise to a minimum (in my bedroom) and space is very tight in a cabinet, so if centrifugal PC fans can handle more static pressure than the inline types then I can switch the box to flower with minimal loss of silence and/or efficiency.

Lol are you seriously asking if a 25 CFM fan will be strong enough to push through a filter?
It will not you need a real fan, save the comp parts for the computer

Unfortunately a "real fan" would take up far too much space and would provide far more air flow then I need anyway. It's a cabinet, not a closet or a room so I don't need to move a lot of air.

The two inline PC fans I'm using now are pushing just enough air through a filter to keep my temperatures within acceptable range, without the filter temps inside are the same as outside. I only need a bit more power to handle the static pressure caused by the filter.

120mm PC fan!
nice fit around a 5" duct with some duct tape!
low power 300ma and quiet.
although I do use an inline fan on my carbon filter.
use the Pc fans for my ballast cooler and air inlet into my tent.

With all the inline PC fan users I see on this site I'm surprised no one's considered a centrifugal PC fan before. All I need to know is if they can handle static pressure significantly better then their inline counterparts. :wall:

57 decibels is rediculously loud, especially for a fan pushing a pathetic 25 CFM. Check out the VANTEC Tornado 80 or 92mm PC fans. The 80mm version is rated at 84CFM and the 92mm over 120CFM. I've got two 80mm ones exhausting my cabinet pushing through a heavy duty DIY filter. They are a little loud but they are quieter than the fan you linked to and they push a ton more air.
