Greetings all. I have decided to put some of those Home Depot gift cards to some good use. I was planning on purchasing some CFL 100W bulbs.

I plan to purchase 5 of these 100W Fluorex Replacement Bulb - Model 92100B

Product Information Error Page

I going to be using them inside my stealth storage cabinet(46"X24"46"). Three would be used in the flowering area, two in the veg/clone area. I am planning to do a micro sog. Some personal seeds from Willie Nelson strain from Cannibus cup 2005, and Durban poison.

Will this be a good light setup for these strains??

What is 100W CFL watt equivalent for these?? 400W? So 5 100W CFL equals 2000W???

Much thanks for any input and happy harvesting!

:peace:

I don't think Home Depot carries 100 watt CFL's. I bought mine from there which are 42watts but are equivelent to a 150 watt standard bulb. 5 of these CFL's would use 210 watts which is equivelent to 750 watts of standard lighting. Even with this wattage the CFL's are not putting out the equivelent lumens of a 400watt MH or HPS. Your grow space is about 2'x4'x4'. CFL's produce quite a bit of heat so make sure you ventilate very often. Here is a pic of one of my girls 60 days growing and 18 days into flowering. I use two 42W (2700k) CFL's one 42W (6500K) CFL and one 24" floro which is (2700k) as well. They put out over 8,000 lumens which in my opinion still isn't enough but it is what it is. And that is all I can afford for now. Good luck.

I am familiar with 95W (8900 lumens), 125W (>9000 lumens) and 200W (?) CFLs that are available....they are NOT cheap....and they are specifically grow lights. pretty amazing....

IMO... DONT buy CFLS from HD. The primary manufacturer they carry is NVISION and I had a number of problems with them burning out.
